Aesthetix Rhea and Calypso Tube rolling-what did you do?
I bought my Calypso Signature 2nd hand  with Telefunken 12AX7’s and Mullard 6922’s from Vintage Tube Services. It sounds great and is very quiet.
Most satisfying system change in 2017?
Added two vintage tube amps:VAC 30/30 MKIII Signature (VAC converted my 30/70 monoblocks into two stereo amps... so I've kept one and will sell the 2nd one)Music Reference RM9 MKII
Has Anyone Uesed A PrimaLuna Amp With Harbeth Speaker's
Harbeth’s sound good with both solid state AND tube amplification. It all comes down to personal preference. I’ve owned Harbeth’s for about eight years (SHL5’s and two pairs of 40.1’s). In that time, I’ve used or tried three solid state amps/integ...
Buying tubes...do they vary???
The last thing you want is to buy new tubes from Joe Blow Tube Supply, only to have some fail prematurely.  I definitely would do some research on the Audiogon forums and not simply buy from the cheapest supplier out there that pops on your first ...

I'm starting to get the impression schubert doesn't care for Diana Krall.
Buying an item from Canada
I purchased a used amp for approx. $2,650 that was made in the US, but I still paid customs clearance fees of approx. $70 and had to fill out paperwork faxed (yes faxed) from US customs.   It was a hassle.  YMMV.
Vacuum Tube Retailer Option
Ditto on Brent Jessee Tubes.   Good selection of high quality NOS tubes at reasonable prices, good advice/customer service and quick to ship.

Does anyone know if her live DVD's (Rio and Montreal Jazz Festival) can be purchased in CD or SACD format?  My Music Vault does not read DVD or Blue Ray.
Diana Krall
I love her Live in Paris cd!   It's in my regular rotation.  I hope she puts out another live recording soon, as I agree with some on this thread that her studio recordings are just "ok".I saw her live about 10 years ago, with Chris Botti opening....
which would you choose
I use my SB Touch with a Luxman DA-06 DAC. Sounds great even with the free, low rez version of Pandora.
Harbeth comparison?
If you can swing a used pair of 40.1's, you can sell your sub and get off the speaker merry-go-round.  I use 40.1's in a room of similar size (26' x 14' x 7.5') driven by VAC 30/30 MKIII Signature... or when I want a different flavor, change over ...
Dated but still A rated DACs
I love my Luxman DA-06.   Typically sell for $2,500 used.
The Harbeth phenomenon
Understood.   I take a less scientific approach to audio and just go with what sounds best to my ears.
The Harbeth phenomenon
Willem,Do you own Harbeth...and if so, have you tried many moderate powered tube amps? As it relates to the flagship M-40.1's, reviews from Stereophile, 6moons and Tone Audio share my experience that moderate power tube amps (as low as 25 wpc) can...
The Harbeth phenomenon
Cantorgale,I'm on my second pair of 40.1's and have also owned SHL5's.  I prefer tube amps with both speakers... and I've tried a lot of amps, both SS and tube.  I'd be surprised if you'd need anything more powerful than a tube amp with 40 to 60 W...
