Is analog & vinyl anoying? Is it worht it.
+++ So long as we are really only talking about which format can produce the highest quality sound we have nothing to argue about. +++Newbee, that isn't the topic of the thread. Superiority of vinyl was accepted but rejected as a medium because of...

Chadnliz you are missing my point. For a normal abled person, listening to vinyl has a very small amount of effort over CD – clamp LP, dry brush the LP, the queue the arm, lower the arm, walk back to chair. Somebody that will consciously accept lo...
Is analog & vinyl anoying? Is it worht it.
Newbee, there is a price of admission, but it is more than just money.Anybody that really likes music would want to hear it reproduced in the most accurate and natural way possible. Setting up a system to do that invariably takes time, effort and ...

Chadnliz As I mentioned to Shadorne, I expressed myself incorrectly. I know a couple of 'hard core' audiophile/music lovers that use CD fronted systems. However, their systems are not set up for convenience, nor are they tight fisted when spending ...

+++ Do you honestly think that vinyl sounds more like live music than CD's? +++No I don't think so. I know so.+++ If you do you should get out more often to live unamplified events. +++I have attended many hundreds. My wife is classical pianist - ...

Shadorne, I did express myself incorrectly. One can love music without caring about the quality of sound. Gregg takes the trouble to go to sport events, so he likes sport. He does not take the trouble to go to opera/recitals/concerts. He even cons...

+++ I love music and don't care where it comes from. +++Correction, you love music but you don't care what it sounds like. You're on the wrong forum.RegardsPaul

Geggadd +++ I frequently do see sports live. +++Greg, you frequently go see sports live ... however if you actually liked music you'd go see opera, recitals and concerts frequently instead. Hence, vinyl is too much trouble for you.Now you start th...

Greg, I imagine going to an opera, recital, and concert is just a total no-no for you. I mean, having to book tickets ahead of time, then on the day of the event having to shower, get dressed, drive, find parking, stand in line etc. is just a real...
Looks like I need another stage...suggestions?
Pablo, I am not sure if the Bottlehead crew will build for you, but I am sure one or two posters that hang out on the Bottlehead forum will. Best is to submit a post and ask. You should however not just write off the money you spent on the black c...

+++ He does have decent feedback, 4 positive and 1 negative +++Ummm, there nothing decent about that feedback - 20% of his transactions are bad. I'd stay away from him.As for upgrade, go with the Seduction. Way better than anything in it price lev...
Upgrade Power conditioner
Yes it is. I went from a Monster to P300 and my jaw hit the floor. Big improvement, way beyond expectation.RegardsPaul
Art Audio Carissa vs Cary SLI-80
I would go for the Carissa. Single ended amps do have a magic sound that push-pulls designs don’t. I have never heard the Carissa but I do have a single ended Audionote which just sounds waaay better than the Sli 80.I have a 12wpc amp driving 88db...
Tube amp vs. speakers
Forget the tube amp. Rather by a Ferrari to drive on a beach ...
general tonearm design question
Doug. Are you saying the azimuth on a uni changes each time you adjust the VTA? Wouldn’t a unipivot simply keep a consistent azimuth over an elevation on the record? I cannot recollect that I have ever had to adjust azimuth after I adjusted the VT...
