Felt diffraction reduction advise
Have to say there is something to this. The circle cut out didn't work. Strips made into rectangle does change things for the good. Highs seem smoother, relaxed and more air and stage no loss of highs or feeling it was killing the sound. I had to ...
Felt diffraction reduction advise
Cut a couple pieces to match outside size of tweeter and perfect round cut to go around dome fairly close noticed slight change in sound stage. Then made another to stack that's when I notice loss of sparkle. Using blue tak so I can install and re...
Any meaningful differences...
Can't remember if I had blue or black, preferred stepped,  natural and clean but sometimes 1 click is to low and 2 is too much, they also get dirty and need cleaning sometimes, installed a TKD and though it was a little sterile. No longer have the...
Can this be good first tube amplifier?
After I posted  looked at your eBay add, I think the 80 watt claim is wrong, more like 40 or 45 max, that's the  same amp I had with out gold and meter. They claimed 45 back then always thought they over rated it, I get twice or more the spl with ...
Can this be good first tube amplifier?
I bought a yaqin mc10 for office with LSA monitors years ago if you are looking for a nice tube sound the yaqin isn't it. I had some extra  nos 1960 Mullard Blackburn plant xf2's EL34's laying around to put in it did improve but just didn't do it ...
Rega Ania Cantilever Bent?
One channel on tonearm wires could be reversed and out of phase or antiskate is off, just a thought
Best MM?
Azden YMP 50 Vl, not saying it's the best.  I currently own a Soundsmith Zephyr but Azden is mounted on table now and in some ways prefer the Azden.

Any one try the new Synergistic Research BLUE UEF Duplex receptacle?
When I finally had 1200 hours on NCF (in the wall) it was a love hate thing with it. Good bass detail but just wasn't musical for me, so I bought outlet for conditioner, a furutech gold to fix problem , I was wrong. I tried SR black. Haven't tried...
Vintage receivers???
Mapleshade Scott lk48, using one for second system. I think it plays as good or better than a lot of $3000 integrated amps, very musicalI run this amp more than main system. 6 ohm 86 db speakers in a 800 square foot room, sounds big and detailed. T...
Binding post replacement suggestions
Looks like Cardas and WBT are some favorites, there both in my price range. My concern with WBT is crimping wire does this  mean it's a little tricky to remove if crossover needs to be removed in the future? The monitors these will be going in wer...
Furutech GTX-D Rhodium NCF Outlet
NCF has the worst break in of anything I've ever seen, be prepared to wait at least 7 to 8 weeks and maybe it will level out, this outlet is totally schizophrenic. NCF information retrieval is unbelievable but at at a cost of sounding a little ana...
Furutech GTX NCF receptical break in, how long
Sorry for misunderstanding, that many feedbacks and all positive you definitely deserve a pat on the back!
Furutech GTX NCF receptical break in, how long
Geoff, I mean no disrespect, but paint peeling off walls, Geritol, I don't get it. A lot of words but not much content. Maybe I missed something, if so sorry. I'm a 55 year old drummer and guitar player since age of 12. I own Gretch round badge, s...
Furutech GTX NCF receptical break in, how long
Will do audiolab, had some time to kill on road this morning and called furutech dealer I bought from. He said at least 6 week burnin and it is normal for it to swing like this even with 450 to 500 hours. Loss of bass etched highs. Last night the ...
