Mytek Brooklyn Bridge II with Roon Core coming in June! I am still buying CDs for sure! I love to own the source material (I think of CDs as smaller, shinier versions of vinyl ;) )Thanks for the links.
Can anybody be a speaker designer? The truth about hitting yourself on the head with a hammer is that it only feels good when you stop.Same with reading posts by Kenjit.
Why so many angry audiophiles? but I just can't build up the requisite amount of indignation LOL. Never argue with idiots ... you have to descend to their level and they will *still* beat you with experience ;)
Why so many angry audiophiles? Amen. Social media seems to bring out the worst in some people, who become keyboard warriors. I see it everywhere. "If you don't have something good to say..."I love a good debate, and often there is no one right answer. I love learning from other...
what is the advantage of having a Roon core that's not on your computer? I specifically didn’t want to rely on a computer (and have it on all the time) for my Roon Core, and so waited to get a server/streamer that could do it. I considered several, including Wyred4Sound and Innuos (one box solutions), but decided on th...
If you stream music from the internet, I can't recommend this more highly I have the SGC sonictransporter and microRendu, and wondered if I should have upgraded to the optical. I'll read up on it... sounds good!
Not Thrilled with Vandersteen 2CE Sigs - where is the first place to work on? newer vandy's clearly have more high end energy... some surmise this is a commercial decision to meet modern demand for more perceived 'resolution' - others feel it is due to richard still voicing the speakers himself, his loss of high freq hearin...

Not Thrilled with Vandersteen 2CE Sigs - where is the first place to work on? Tomic knows Vandersteens! tomic601 I had 2CEs for many years (formerly driven by a McCormack DNA-1 deluxe amp and passive linestage) and loved them so much I replaced them with the newest version, the 2CE Sig III. I have heard many great speakers ...
2021 audio system wish list @douglas_schroeder I'm glad you're on the mend. 340,000 dead aren't so lucky. What a terrible year.Stay safe in 2021 everyone. The vaccine is coming to you soon if it hasn't already.
Best bookshelf speaker? The Watkins Gen4 is one I’ve been tempted to do a home trial on. Recipient of The Absolute Sound’s 2020, 2019 & 2018 Editors’ Choice Awards and their 2017 Golden Ear Award, and the price isn’t too high. $2500 iirc. " Watkins Stereo Gen Four:Bi...

RIP Tony Rice He's getting a lot of appreciation on Twitter. I have listened to his records with David Grisman for a long time ("Tone Poems" is one). Many say he is the King of flat-picked flattop guitar, and changed bluegrass forever. He lost his voice in the ...
