Big Below 15k used that can play loud as heck
I'd look into something from the JBL Synthesis family.
Integrated upgrade recomendations
How about the Leak Stereo 130 integrated?  https://www.leakaudio.com
Looking for suggestions on speakers and an integrated amp for a second system.
For fuller sound at lower volumes, I'd suggest using part of the budget for a small subwoofer.  I have run one in my secondary home office rig for years and it allows me to have great performance at any volume but also the ability to run bookshelf...
Struggling to spend 13k with three dealers
As others have suggested, I would call them.  You can hash out the deal within a couple of minutes that way and get the ball rolling.
The response for REL regarding subwoofers
You could probably accomplish what you wanted with a pair of No.25 subs from REL, depending on room size and how loud you like to playback your music.
sunfire mk ii sub
Hopefully after 12 years, the OP got that hum fixed.
In-ceiling: Am I wasting my money?
For background music, the Monoprice/ Sonos stuff is probably fine.  If you want to invest in some excellent ceiling speakers and subs, find a local James dealer:https://www.jamesloudspeaker.com/categories/30Their small-aperture series are quite go...
In wall speakers recommendations.
I had excellent results from these Phase Tech offerings in my own home as well as a few friends:https://phasetech.mseaudio.com/ci110-siii.htmlThe offer larger models as well and they all sound fantastic:https://phasetech.mseaudio.com/ci110-siii.ht...
Subwoofers going into standby with low volume listening (New Integrated Amplifier).
The phase control will add perceived volume at your listening position due to the subs working together and with your room/ mains better, but that has nothing to do with the signal levels the amplifiers inside them are seeing.  The line levels fro...
Why the hate for mcintosh amps?
I love my McIntosh integrated.  It sounds great to me, is built like a tank, looks fantastic and is made in America.  Of course it has meters, which for me, is a must.  If I didn't have it, I would have an Accuphase, Luxman or a Yamaha with meters...
Any Vienna acoustics love out there? Anyone even still using them?
I have a set of Schonberg’s (as well as the matching Subson subwoofer) that I’ll probably never sell. I love the way the perform, look and how they take up very little floor space. I had a set in black years ago, but I now have a set in silver. If...
Integrated Amp Choices
I'd choose either the Luxman or the McIntosh.
eBay / PayPal: Beware - enough is never enough.
Fleabay screwed me over years ago, as well.  I had over 20 years of 100% feedback with them and a buyer in the UK screwed me.  He filed a false "not as described" claim, got his refund right away and shipped back the "item."  I had a funny feeling...
REW without avr/pre-pro?
REW will work on your setup.  An AVR isn't needed.  you just need an analog audio input on the Preamp to connect your laptop/ Soundcard to and you'll be good to go.You'll be restricted in your tuning tools, however, to tone controls, speaker place...
Replacing a Sonos Connect with another Streamer - The digital dilemma!
It looks like you could just use a regular set of stereo RCA cables from the "Line Out" of the Cambridge unit to an input on the MA6500.  You could use the "CD1" or "CD2" inputs and be good to go.
