Klipsch Cornwall IV
I think placing them too close to a wall or a corner diminishes their potential. NEAR a wall or corner is good. I have mine approx. 3 ft from the corner and this works very well.As for the question on soundstage and imaging, they are very good at ...
Raven Audio Nighthawk
Well I'm not going to be able to give a report on the Osprey. I cancelled my order yesterday. My decision was based on a combination of things. There were delays with the amp being shipped, and to be fair, it may not have been anyone's fault at Ra...
Raven Audio Nighthawk
No Raven yet. And communicating with them these days doesn't seem to be as easy as days gone by. I'll leave it at that.
ATC SCM150 (or JBL Synthesis) (or JBL vintage) (or new Klipsch Jubilee)
Be advised that Klipschorns and Jubilees are two very different animals.........
Looking for my Final Pair!!
My suggestion for newbie audiophiles is to buy what fits in your budget once and enjoy the heck out of it...do not overthink everything! Good advice. But did we ever follow it?

I'm sure they are out there, but I don't know anyone who is using an iPad straight into an audio system. But one thing's fer sure. You won't find a Crown amp of any flavor in my listening room. Nor will you find zip cord and throw away interconnect...
Raven Audio Nighthawk
The pictures don't look like skypunks virtual system pics. Tubes are different too. Although this seller and skypunk are both from TX. But I don't think it's his.

FYI, to anyone interested. There is a very nice Blackhawk that was just listed on that other audio mart site. If that one had popped up a few weeks ago I'd have gone that way instead of the Osprey. It's priced pretty well so whoever buys it cou...
Looking for my Final Pair!!
Does anybody here actually read Raul's posts? Or do you (like me) just scroll right on past them as if they were a total time waster (they are)?

I know someone who had the M3 and the Sapphire and the latter was a very big improvement. But ultimately he kept blowing tweeters in the Sapphire so he sent it back for a refund. He now owns Forte IIIs.Oz

@tomic601 I have owned three RM9s (owned one twice) and one RM9 II. I can say with certainty it is one great design.

@kren0006 Yes it is a generalization. I can appreciate what other designs do and enjoy listening to them. My buddy has a pair of Focal Kanta 2s that I like every time I hear them. But I wouldn't trade him even for my cornwalls, and I'm sure he fee...

Well I guess I'm one of the fan bois.I have owned 1987 CW IIs and Bob Crites Cornscalas. The CW IV is very much improved on the earlier cornwalls and also head and shoulders above a stock cornscala. That said, if you have an aversion to (good) hor...
Connecting a streamer via an Ethernet cable
My experience is yes. I had a Bluesound Node 2i and initially used it with wifi. I ran an ethernet cable to a switch in my music room and the sound did indeed improve. Now I'm using a Lumin streamer with no provision for wifi, so still using the e...
Raven celeste competitors/alternatives
I don't think they get many returns. That said, there used to be no restocking fee, only shipping both ways if you were unsatisfied. Now they have a 7% restocking fee which is likely to dissuade some tire kickers.Oz
