Help? Stereo for art studio, under $1k
Rose ...Let me save you a lot of money. Here's the bang for the bucks:1. A used Sherwood 7100 or 7100-A receiver. The 7100 is more tube like. The 7100-A more solid state. 2. A used Kyocera cd player. 3. A pair of Audioengine P4 speakers. http://w...
Synergistic Red Fuse ...
Anyone tried the fuses filled with bees wax? $175 per fuse.
Why a headphone amp
Look around for a used Grado headphone amp. Get the battery operated one. A friend has one and loves it.
Pani ... New ART-9 up and running ...
Pani ...It looks as though you opened up the floodgates for this wonderful cartridge. Thanks again for leading us to it. Mine is completely broken in now ... and my records have never sounded better ... even with much more expensive cartridges.
new free upgrade
Well mine really improved when I followed Prcinka's advice and moved the speakers forward that extra 1/8 of an inch. And it works best if I wear only one shoe. Have to leave the socks on for proper dampening though.
Audio Research Ref 3 vs BAT VK51 SE
I haven't heard the Bat preamp, but I'm an original owner of the ARC-REF3. My system is very musical, three dimensional and has a "reach out and touch it" quality. Even though ARC upgraded to the REF-5, and then the REF5se, I felt no need to make ...

new free upgrade
A half inch? Naw, naw ... a quarter inch really brings things into focus. Try it Digs ... it's like upgrading to a better cartridge.
Girlfriends and wifes, how do YOU cope?
Now that I've been single for many years, I seem to gain a new girlfriend from time to time. They all say the same thing upon first seeing the music system ...which at this point takes up the entire living room (of course). The say .... "Why do yo...
Evening Classical Music; listening for relaxation
Bach's "Air on a G-string." A beautiful piece of music if there ever was one.
Jazz for late night relaxation
Hmmm ... I love ballads by Cal Tjader. Paul Desmond too.
Jazz for late night relaxation
Hey Frogman .... have you been into my record collection??? *lol*
What's a contender to an Audio Reference 5 SE?
This should be an interesting thread as it develops. *lol*
Thoughts on the EAT C series tables
Fjn04 ...I spent quite a bit of time in the EAT room at the Newport show this year. First of all, its a given that the EAT-C Sharp is a beautiful table that you could be proud to have on display in your system. At $4500 its an overachiever in the ...
