Of course, accurately reproduced music is the end we are all seeking from this hobby ... but finding those things that get us closer to the actual performance is a totally fun part of the hobby. I equate we audiophiles to car guys and hot rodding ...

You're welcome taters. As you can see, I've tweaked the bejeezus out of my system. I became a believer in tweaks since I tried my first one, and that was a set of "Tip Toes" under the speakers when they first came out. Late 70's, I think.

Why do some dealers
Some dealers are their own worst enemy. If you asked most of them what business they are in, they would reply: "The audio business." The successful ones realize that they are in The People Business. Here's a good example. I have recently bought th...

This was the end of the first listening session with the SR RED fuses all the way down the chain ... phono, preamp and amp. The addition of the third fuse to the phono stage today was a nice improvement in the beginning. After a few hours of burn-...
Jazz for late night relaxation
tomcy6 ...I have that Jazz For a Rainy Afternoon CD and a couple of others from the series including "Latin Jazz for Lovers." Excellent sound and music for sure.
old classic phono cartridges
I would definitely send the Clavis back in for retipping and any other thing it needs. Its a great cartridge ... and not many can touch it on reproducing the piano accurately. Pay the extra bucks and have Lyra do the repairs.
