Anyone HEARD the qol 'signal completion' device?
On the BSGT website there is an oscilloscope reading of a mono audio signal before and after the QOL process. Clearly the after picture is no longer a mono signal. Could somebody please explain.
Rick Schultz`s new cable
Bravo Biodranix for standing up for what you think is right. Based on his recent posts Draudio seems sincere in trying to resolve this issue.
U.S. Symphony Orchestras
Time to think outside the box and bring the symphony orchestra into the 21st century. Just a few random ideas to make the orchestra more relevant to more people in today's market for attention.Allow tweeting by musicians during performances. It's ...
"Violinists blast holes in violin experiment"
Yes, double blind test can be poorly designed, implemented and the results can be misconstrued. At the same time human senses can be easily confused, mislead and outright wrong. The problem for audiophiles is that we hold as an article of faith th...
Some tables have soul and some not
I think the most outrageous statement is:I don't like classical music, but when I heard it on a Sota Cosmo, it changed my opinion.I never imagined any equipment, yet alone a specific turntable, could have such an effect. But then again it does ope...
Upscaling Speakers, Downscaling Amp...What to Do?
To paraphrase the OP: I few months ago I got an expensive speaker that I liked some much that I now want to take apart my system and rebuild it with another, even more expensive speaker. What am I missing?

Regarding the top 20 list -- I'm in no way qualified to verify it's accuracy. Your thoughts would be most appreciated.
The best digital IC, period.
Their is no "best" of anything. It's about personal preferences in one's system. It's not really news that Canare makes excellent cables.

Markets have crashed before and orchestras did not go out of business. I suspect something more fundamental is at work. Is the model of philanthropic financing still viable? How far can anything go relying upon the kindness of strangers? Also does ...
Anyone HEARD the qol 'signal completion' device?
To build on Chayro's post, I have an SPL Qure parametric equalizer which has the Qure processor. In addition to the normal 3 bands of parametric EQ the Qure processor messes with the signal's phase and adds a mid/hi boost which is intended to clar...
Back In the Day
Thanks for the replies -- they gave me plenty to think about.I don't completely buy the argument about the greater variety of equipment available today. If you only look at the number of manufacturers and products, sure, but at a practical level, ...
How many enjoy low $ second system sound?
I like Roscoeiii's comment about the systems' having differing strengths. Also, low cost is a relative thing. If you're fortunate enough to have a $200,000k plus main system, your low cost system could be $20-30k. Even if you eliminate cost from th...
Fed up with people making noise at classical shows
Why is it that someone who always, and I mean always, gets in the last word should then accuse others of trying to do the same? And the P/A "cheers"?This is not an attack, nor have I called anyone out. It's simply an observation. In fact, the comm...
How many enjoy low $ second system sound?
I highly recommend that any serious audiophile have at least one low cost secondary system. It just helps to keep things in perspective. The low cost system won't sound as good as the main system, but it will demonstrate the law of diminishing ret...
No, You Cannot Bi-Amp
Elizabeth, you crack me up! Though I got to be honest, your comment about your "top burners being good for popcorn" got me thinking some unpure thoughts. James Brown needs to take it the bridge before I get myself in trouble.
