Dave Brubeck
Rok2id, I didn't make a statement, but instead asked a question. You were the one who brought up the issue of "real jazz".
Does you wife touch your system?
Sure. She sometimes calls me in to "fix" why there's no sound, but there are times when it takes me 5 minutes to figure it out. Most systems are left permanently on which eliminates the majority of problems.
What deserves more attention on Audiogon?
I was kidding about the Ohms! You are well documented in your love of Ohm. BTW, I just picked up a good condition pair of Walsh 4s.All my speakers date from 1990s or earlier designs. The EPIs are very listenable but compared to modern loudspeakers...
Dieter Rams, Braun and the integrated turntable
The Fisher Allegro is a nice all in one tube system.
Dave Brubeck
Arguing about exactly what is jazz is a dead end. If it was made after 1918 and didn't come from New Orleans, can it really be called jazz?To deny Dave Brubeck's importance in jazz history is silly.

What type of component are you asking about?
No love. Why?
It's not one of those loudspeakers that starts you on an audiophile journey of ever changing loudspeakers.
What is your favorite 1 hit wonder from the 70's?
Iron Butterfly was 1968. I also wouldn't describe Mott the Hoople as a one hit wonder. Prior the their alliance with David Bowie they had released 4 albums, of which 2 are quite good, and were considered one of the great live acts of the period. D...
New level of ridiculousness
Wait a little while and when the Mk2 version comes out people will be dumping the original version for less than 50% of original price.
Audiophile Speakers with 25 yr + Longevity
Crossover capacitors can go out of spec over time and electrical joints can corrode. Large woofers with heavy magnets can sag and start to rub. Even rubber surrounds can dry out and lose flexibility which can alter bass performance. Air tight seal...

Rok2id, if you are going to make such a statement, then examples would be uesful.
