Call me picky, but I have some great 6550s Tung sol (GEs) they make the MC60s just sound wonderful, NOS 1964s I think.. A set of 8 NOS would be 2k easy more like 3-4k.  KT88s sound NOTHING like a 6550, 6550 is US made KT88 is across the pond stuff...

Yes the 15 amp outlet is fine. A higher amp value is ok, lower is not..EX. Equipment  rated at 300 watts, max amp pull 4-5 amps. You can use a  120VAC/15 amp/1800 watt, 3 prong plug. (normal house hold stuff). Your 2 prong stuff will be fine... Wh...

If it's tight it's right. It CANNOT move inside the packing. It must be double boxed with a 2" standoff between the outside of the inner box and the inside of the outside box. The inner box cannot move inside the outer box...NO ifs, ands or buts.....
