Replacement motor for Oracle Delphi turntable
Go to USAM & look for dealers on the right side. You can contact hyendaudio. He can very likely help you especially if you still have the original delphi motor.
R.I.P: Rest In Peace Roy Johnson, Green Mountain Audio's Genius
Very sad to hear this news. I know he had been struggling, but he seemed to have stabilized, and I had not spoken to him in some time. I still have "Happy Ears" with hIs GMA Continuum 2 speakers with the latest HX crossover. I always enjoyed talki...
Pentatone Classics
I have 8 Pentatone SACDs. They are refined recordings of excellent ensembles. However, as much as I want to like them they never reach the "liveness" that I seem to get with other SACDs such as the Living Presence reissues or the Reference Recordi...
Reference Recordings only doing hybrid cd/sacd now, sad I'm gone.
Maybe your laser needs some adjustment. Make a copy of the CD layer on the RR disc using your computer to CD media and see how it reads.
looking for ideas on must have classical music
A very simple suggestion: Collect the RCA Living Stereo SACDs. They are remastered from the great recordings of the 50s & 60s recordings of great music played by wonderful orchestras, and would constitute a very good classical collection. They...
Looking for a low gain solid state preamp with balanced in/out
The AYRE K-1 and K-5 series preamps can be easily adjusted to any desired gain by the user.
Recently acquired a Oracle DelphiMKII need suggestions

Strange turntable/speaker issue
Lets call your phenonomen "acoustic breakthrough" instead of feedback. You also have a rumble problem. This is not unusual with less expensive lightweight turntables.See if the problem is worse with your speakers closer to the TT and less so when ...
Best Headphone system under $1000???
The system I use and can therefore recommend is Focal Elears and Schiit Jotunheim.
Help - I've Got the Dreaded Transformer Growl....
I'll submit a 3rd choice. If it has a toroidial transformer, see if you can find a technician to reorient the transformer to a minimum noise position.
Unbalaned to Balanced
The only choice I see is to use an unbalanced cable to the unbalanced input on the amp. There is no advantage to try to adapt your cable to the balanced input.
Confusion on amplifier impedance
Normally for differentially baIanced amps the impedance doubles for a balanced input. The Musical Fidelity manual only gives the 50 kohm spec. Reading the manual leads me to think they tout balanced connections, but I see no remarks to lead me to...
