What system components would you buy if........... Now this is an interesting thread. My gut said Magnepan, but I would probably go some tube-high efficiency combo. I am sooo sick of being limited to amps with high power and stability in to tough loads.
Thoughts On "Bowling For Columbine" I really liked it as well. His minor points were more interesting than his oversimplified thesis centering on fear-inducing media, but it has to be hard to cover the complexity of the issue in a couple hours. I loved the Dick Clark, Chuck Heston s...
What are you thankful for? Thankful that I live across the street from Whole Foods, pretty girls, my great fam, that I have had the opportunity to go to and do well in college, and that I was able to buy and enjoy my stereo.
I close my eyes Yeah, darkness is a great "tweak". I like to listen with one tiny light or no light. It is funny how much better the sound is then than when the sun is out, and its funny how dreamy it can get. Less noise and more calm, I think.
Are silver coated cables a bunch of hype? Coating a cable with silver is going to change the sound, but I bet a good part of the silver-coatedness is marketing. Most interconnects of that type are all in the same price range, and no really high-end cable I can think of uses that hybrid. I...
OK, best speakers for 2500 USED...... Deja Vu.
help with harshness / brightness - cary 303-100 Well Drubin, he does have a fatigue problem with the Plinius-Cary combination. I have heard the Cary with other "nonfatiguing" SS amplification, and it was harsh. Tubes are a sure cure, so one does not have to search around for that certain specia...
help with harshness / brightness - cary 303-100 There is no doubt that tubes are most effective solution. At least a tube preamp. If it is that harsh, cables and breakin are nothing. Maybe there is a CDP that won't burn your ears in comparison to your TT in that system, but tubes are a sure cur...
Are your used items selling? I know your Berning compliments are legitimate, and I am sure they make nice amps. I was commenting on your first post. I think your many compliments allowed you to sell so easily and that is sort of interesting.
Are your used items selling? If one advertises their stuff in every other post...that seems to help.
Attention: Dunlavy Audio Labs out of business Sucks, doesn't it?-Hales owner
Am I being fair? Hdm - Because sellers can and often do handle the same policy so buyers don't complain.
Am I being fair? Well, I doubt your problem was a necessary result of your local-preference policy. I get the impression that you executed it less than tactfully, (e.g. How did they know what position in line they were for it? And why are there a FEW of them threa...
What do you think about this cable company? If someone contacted me because a bizarre thread that had nothing to do them, this about what I would expect. At least your set for the next audition.
My wife touched my turntable - help please I have had this problem, so I thought it was a legitimate question. Next time I am going to take a photo of my cart while a record is playing and use it for comparison when I wonder about damage. Glad things seem to be fine but wish you would have... |
