Best Bike to ride before a good listening session
Stay tuned Pehare. Rumor has it that Guzzi is up for sale and the most likely taker is Ducati. Apparently they were after it when Aprilia bought them but lost out in a bidding war. Lots of other rumors but Ducati has confirmed that they are in the...
Best Bike to ride before a good listening session
Moto Guzzi of course. Gobs of torque and the spirit of a sportbike makes for the most soulful experience on 2 wheels. A couple hundred miles of backroad curves and I'm ready to kick back and play a few LP's.
Album which you have listened to most?
Here are a few that I have played regularly for years.Fleetwood Mac - Then Play On.Genesis - Selling England By The Pound.Dylan - Blood On The TracksGentle Giant - Three FriendsNot quite so old stuff:Hothouse Flowers- Songs From The RainOctober Pr...
Vinyl or wait for the new stuff??
If I hadn't had several hundred LP's that I never got rid of, I would not have gotten back into vinyl. New LP's are expensive. Selection is good, but not great, and the care and feeding of the whole thing is a bit of a pain.I do prefer the sound o...
Who is Most Beautiful female singer ever
What about Sade? I've always thought she had great beauty.
Whats on your turntable tonight?
Chicago - Chicago Transit Authority. All 4 sides. My first listen in a loooong time and I had forgotten what a great LP it is.
Multiple copies of the same album on vinyl?
A few. Mainly because I hit a couple of thrifts every week and I'll buy something I already have if I see one that I know I like and it looks to be in better condition.I have 2 original Moody Blues "Days of Future Passed" found at different times....
The Stones, retire or re-invent themselves?
Seeing the Stones Live is probably like seeing the 4,237th performance of Cats by the same cast. There is absolutely nothing left. I think the only reason people go is because they think it's cool because the tickets are hard to get.
Any bluegrass fans?
For a lesser known band try Special Consensus. Greg Cahill is a fantastic banjo player and the band, which changes members frequently is always tight. They play alot in the midwest and some areas in the east. Not much out west unfortunately. A rea...
The Best Live album
For Sonics I like the Pretenders "Aisle of View". For recreating the live experience, I'd have to go with Live at Leeds or J. Geils band "Full House". Wamba Jamba!
ain't got no soul: bad covers of great soul songs
Can't think of the title at the moment, but I recall Phil Collins had a hit with a Supremes tune. Gotta be right up there with Michael Bolton.
Live 70s soul, funk, r &b albums.....
I don't recall the name, but I think Tower of Power has a live release from this era that is very cool.
How does one get off the merry-go-round?
Give all your money to charity so you won't have any to spend on tweaks, upgrades, or anything else. Then you'll just have to be happy with what you have.

Your favorite recent discovery
Thanks for the great suggestions! Bought a half dozen of them last night online and can't wait for them to arrive.Living in a semi-rural area, it's hard to find new music worth listening to. Thank goodness for the web.
