Made in USA When I opened my Revel M106 a few years ago I was surprised and disappointed that they said Made In. INDONESIA.... Made sense after learning SB Acoustics is headquartered there.
Made in USA Just picked up a new SOTA turntable , Made In USA. Nice quality and sounds great.
SOTA Turntables I received the Escape. I took my time and set it up with an Ortofon 2M Bronze and initial impressions are very good. I was actually very surprised how good it sou ded through a budget NAD phono pre. That is my next upgrade. A decent phono p...
Do I buy an upscale TT? I just picked up the SOTA Escape with an Origin Live arm and it is quite good. It has me loving vinyl again and it didn’t break the bank.
Why didn't I sell my vinyl rig? I have generally thought my digital front end sounds pretty good , however I just bought a turntable and it sounds REALLY good with a modest cartridge and cheap NAD phono pre. Hopefully a much better phono pre will really elevate performance. ...
Previous Ownership...does it matter to you? As far as Carfax goes, it's not always accurate. My father in law backed into someone in his corvette. He didn't want a repair / accident record so he paid for both repairs and neither car had adverse Carfax Data. I have a friend who is a bo...
Previous Ownership...does it matter to you? I have purchased a number of used pieces and the only thing I care about is condition and age. I will only buy something that looks new, yes I am thinking about resale should I choose to sell someday . I baby my gear, I am the guy you want to buy ...
streaming and audiophile stereo The streamer is the modern day "transport" It's vital to great playback, plus you want an user interface that appeals to you. My Aurender N200 sounds great, I also demo'd Innuos which was good too. I listen to a bunch of my favorite radi...
Made in USA I try to buy US made. Amp, Preamp, Speakers, Turntable, made in USA. DAC , Greece, Tuner #1 Canada, Tuner #2 USA, Streamer, S Korea. Country of Origin has less to do with it than getting the best for the money, but generally speaking I...
The 300B World I am using a Toolshed Amps 300b with WE 300bs and I can sincerely say this amp is end game for me. I wasn't even in need of an amp, my Quicksilver amps were just fine. Transparency and tone I have never experienced with Push Pull amps. End...
SOTA Turntables I just pulled the trigger on an Escape with Origin arm and 1.5" platter. Undecided on a cartridge.... looking at phono preamps before choosing.
Aurender N-200 Compatiblity with DACS. Is this a thing? I prefer my N200 connection via COAX with my LAB 12 DAC 1 Reference. Don't get me wrong, the N200 and DAC sound great via USB but I think I prefer Coax.
Aurender N-200 Compatiblity with DACS. Is this a thing? I have a N200. It recognized both of my DACs no problem via the USB connection I have had zero issues with compatibility, it displayed each DAC connected to it via USB. . A RME adi2 and a LAB 12 DAC 1 Reference. Coax out should be compatibl...
Do Turntables sound better with time? No.... I just found a Garrard Lab 80 circa 1968 in my Dad's attic and although it runs , it sounds like crap. Very cool and nostalgic. Has prompted me to search for a modern table and very good cartridge.
The Forgotten LAB 12 is great gear . I have their DAC 1 Reference and it sounds really good. Built like a tank and 5 year warranty is pretty good too. |
