Has anyone heard the DSPeaker?
I use it just for bass correction < 150 Hz (analog in - analog out) and it is terrific at keeping the bass clean and tight by lowering peaks. Also a nice "tone" control for those occasions when that's useful.
DSD Playback and DSD Database
I have jumped in to DSD in a big way and it is the best digital sound I've heard. The Teac UM-501 is only $800 and a great way to try DSD out!Good luck!
NCore vs. Ice -- single or separate cases
Hey Hifial, what is the reasoning behind the occasional power off?
NCore vs. Ice -- single or separate cases
Hi Tony, where do you live? I have a pair of NC400 amps that I am not using...
Anyone Listening to DSD files?
The new TEAC at $850 will play 2.8 and 5.6 MHZ DSD files and that is a great way to check it out. I have the TEAC and Mytek and do think DSD sounds much better. Not a lot of material though and finding an old PS3 to do rips is about impossible.OPS...
DSpeaker Anti Mode Dual Core 2.0 Room Correction
I have one between pre-amp and power amps, analog-in to analog-out. It greatly improved the low end by removing big peaks. Main speakers now can play bass with no need for subs, booming is gone. Most room problems are under 150HZ so this can make a...
Switch from Parasound JC-1 to Bel Canto Ref 1000?
Do listen to NCore if you have a chance...You are correct, though. $1800 for the NC400 pair and $9000+ for the OEM-only NC1200 version is too bad. I would like to know what Hypex is charging OEMs for the NC1200 module.

Merrill Audio VERITAS Amps: Any other experiances?
I share your enthusiasm!I have a pair of Veritas amps which I bought after assembling a pair of amps based on the less powerful NC400 modules from Hypex. The Veritas amps are the best I have heard in my setup. I have 81dB efficiency MBL speakers an...
Class D with Tyler Acoustics
Hey Chip,Despite your reservations about your DIY abilities, you should definitely take the time to research the NC400 build. It is simply installing 2 modules in a case and adding AC, XLR and speaker connectors. Look at diyAudio for details. The ...
Class D with Tyler Acoustics
I am really starting to sound like a Hypex shill but...$2000 will get you a pair of NC400 amps if you can do basic assembly and solder an XLR connector. Check out Audiocircle and other forums for listening impressions and good luck.
Have you heard of EMOTIVA?
I just bought the balanced preamp, getting it in a week or so. It is not in the same "league" with my other stuff but I'm looking to streamline and the balanced feature is appealing to me.
Class D with Tyler Acoustics
I know this sounds like a broken record (ha) by now but anyone considering class D (or any amp, IMO) should research Hypex NCore. Sorry for no direct experience with those speakers.Good luck!
Class D amps?
Just received a pair of Veritas amps yesterday and am very happy. They are beautiful and sound MUCH better than the NC400s that I assembled.Of course, the NC400s were built rather simply. Yay!
Is Hype About Forthcoming NC400 Based Amps Worthy
With due respect to Hifial's great suggestions, my NC400 amps in flimsy cases with average parts and construction sound fantastic!Marakanetz, it's not actually a kit, look at diyAudio forums and the Hypex documentation and you will have little tro...
