EMM Lab DCC2 & CDSD Better connection? Mehdi, I don't know if Aural Symphonics will sell just one of the EMM Optimism. They are supposedly sold in sets of three cables for $3000. You will have to email AS to find out. Go to:www.auralsymphonics.com
EMM Lab DCC2 & CDSD Better connection? You can do with just changing the black one, although the three-cable AS set works best (but costs a lot). If you want to try just one Aural Symphonics ST cable on the EMM equipment, it must be the version specifically made for the EMM. The Standa...

buyer beware of late FedEx COD is super, BUT don't expect them to check the authenticity of the cashiers check or certified check they collect for you (I don't think they take money orders, or in any case check only the "cashier/certified" box)It is up to you to do yo...
buyer beware of late I agree with Thanhn387COD is an excellent way to insure a legitimate transaction with a zero feedback seller. Personally, I think FedEx has the best COD system (Air only, doesn't apply to FedEx Ground). You can use FedEx "Express Saver" up to 150 l...

Is There A Moveable Base To Easily Voice Speakers? On carpet, one way I've found works really well: set the speaker (without the spikes of course) on a heavy piece of fabric (like a canvas drop cloth) which extends all around the base of the speaker abour 4 feet or so. It's then quite easy to pull...
Electrical issue Matt, a lot of subs have a very faint 60 cycle hum/buzz when plugged in alone with no other connections. Something in those class D amps they use. You might want to check with the manufacturer though.

Electrical issue If you plugged everything into one oulet, you have ground loops galore!! You may not have a ground loop thru the in-wall ground wire(s) but so what? Trace the path: from AC ground to component to interconnects to next component and back to AC grou...
Nautical application help please What? You're not going to gimbal mount them?!Ok, ok. My vote for a good intersection of size/sound/reliability/humidity-proof/shockproof and compact size would be the (now in production for over 17 years) JBL Control 1 personal professional monito...
Electrical issue Lift the ground pin (using a "cheater " plug) on all 3-prong power cords except the preamp. That should get rid of the hum. Then remove the cheater plugs one by one until the hum returns. That's the one giving you the ground loop.
Cleaning Record Jackets When water-soluble products don't do it, try a paper towel folded into a 3" square pad, dampened with Ronsonal lighter fluid. It's naptha, same thing as used in dry-cleaning.That will remove non-water-soluble grunge. Then if the laquer skin on the... |
