Cars R OK, but what kind of motorcycle do you have
Wow, how do you have a bike from 1976 with 22,000 miles. I put over 8,000 miles this year! You need to listen to your system less and ride more!!! : )
Is this upgrade worth it?
Having heard both, I'd have a hard time going ahead with the trade. I like Electrocompaniet, and have nothing against ML, but this sounds like a sideways move.
What current China import sounds like a CJ??
The chinese gear I have heard reminded me of celebrity look-alikes. Just a lesser quality version of something else. Some of those designs didn't deserve to be ripped off! Who wants to see a Paris Hilton impersonator??? I'm sure I don't have as mu...
What current China import sounds like a CJ??
Chinese stuff is cheap because there is no R&D. They simply steal designs from companies who spend thousands or millions of dollars to come up with real designs. If you don't mind funding thieves, then by all means buy the chinese garbage... a...
Internal Speaker Cabling
Not to be condescending, but it makes no less sense to buy good speaker cable regardless of the internal wiring, than it does to buy a good CDP.Many people don't want to get their hands dirty with mods, but anyone can hear the improvement with bet...
Great tip from another forum
Sean that is a good piece of advise. I use a small machinists square with my GeoDisk, but not everyone has those two devices.I'm not sure what the 'overhang' reference has to do with this thread though...
Can I ever stand to listen to our system again
Karel, I'm terribly sorry to hear of your loss. There are many places to take comfort. Systems are a poor substitute for people, but there is still comfort in the music you love. In the last year I lost two friends, one of them being my father. Ult...
12" 45 RPM records: What's the story?
No has to buy them Audioieool! BUT if you care about good sound, I would recommend them. I have perhaps twenty of them and I have yet to hear one that is not far and away better than the original LP.I'm not talking about dance club issues, but dec...
Has anyone heard the new Sistrum or Stage Stands?
Psychicanimal I thought you used "The Perch."
Has anyone heard the new Sistrum or Stage Stands?
The pointless points are shaped like a cup and saucer. The part of the cup that sits in the saucer is machines to a VERY fine edge, sorta like a knife edge, but it is a circle. I bet that really clears things up!?!?! (:>o)
Has anyone heard the new Sistrum or Stage Stands?
The stands on display were proto-types. They are not ready to sell yet. The pointless points might be ready by now, but stands are in the future, according to conversations I had with the people there. The stands better sound better since they cost...
Your top 3 comedians
Emo Philips, Oscar Wilde, and I'm not sure who would be #3 Steven Wright is funny, but he's at his best when he's telling stories, not rattling of one-liners...
HiFI Fuses ?
Rlwainwright can you give the rest of us a little more information about the HiFi Fuses you used, and the gear in which they were employed, so the rest of us can gain from your experience and understanding? Most people have not tried these fuses, ...
Is Digital actually better than Analog?
I'm not real bright but it seems to me that the means of reproducing the music should be the same as the recording. I do not mean by that digital v. analog(remember that question?). Movies are recorded in Surround Sound while music usually is not....
Review: Sistrum Platform SP-101 Stand
Robert said at RMAF that the new stands were still in the development stage, but they had some there that were this side of not quite ready for the market. The finish was not up to par, but it looks like the idea has been fleshed out...
