Fremer wrote about these in the last Stereophile. Basically, out of a few well-regarded units, the PS Audio was the only one that worked for him. Depends on your needs.

@tomic601 Re the phono psu: Replaced the aging rectifier tube with a new 5AR4 which tightened and cleaned up the bass, and improved image and stability. Gonna replace the ancient 6SJ7 driver tube tomorrow.

I've one S3/SHO—the earlier 510. I've shied away from the expense of adding another. Your experience brings the possibility of adding a T7/9 instead. Thanks!

Speaker stands or turntable stands
I prefer stands with legs rather than those pillar ones. I didn't spend too lond on that page put the cons of one if them was that the top plate wobbles. Walk away.

@bkeske Interesting to see you experiment with tubes. Also makes me nostalgic for when I started doing the same thing back in the 80s! I’m still messing around with them!
