Tube Amp, Preamp upgrades -- what did you do that improved your units?
Some vibration isolation can't hurt.Put springs under the amp. Plenty of threads here on the subject.
10 Inch Tonearms
@lewm No. But quickly swapped headshells. Same noted attributes follow the arms to different cartridges.

Test on an inconspicuous part in case it doesn't work.
10 Inch Tonearms
@goofyfoot I've seen Jelco arms on the used market, some of them 12 inch, some of them 10 inch and some of them 9 inch. I have a 12" and a 9" Jelco 850 on my slate 401 and swap cartridges between them and can make on the fly comparisons. With that...
I did the right thing after all.
@tsushima1 Yeah. MC can be a bit repetitive but I got to agree with him on this. He’s correct to say there are not many used Moabs for sale. Hifishark.com lists 7 in the history as been sold and 2 for sale. Well within MC’s 99+% happy owners.

I would recommend using the professional service. Unless, you want to do it yourself, of course!
10 Inch Tonearms
As tablejockey said, 10" is a compromise —in a good way—giving some of the advantages of a longer arm with those of the 9". Legend has it that 9" is faster due to less mass, while 12" does the better tracking thang.

I remember getting tuners in for repair where, what our lecturer termed PHANTHOM DABBLERS, had fiddled with the coils. Man, they were a pain. Anyhow, not sure you're going to get many replies on this one.
