@smodtactical Yeah, the older TS black plates, I believe. There's some good threads on tube rolling ARC preamps. I don't think you need to change your speakers.

Here’s an option. Keep your speakers. Look into trying 6N6P tubes in your ARC preamp. The stock 6H30 tubes can be glassy and bright.  
New or used speakers
Replacement or a second set? Why not talk to Ty? Upgrade the tweeters to the high resolution Scanspeak, upgrade crossover, and add a pair of REL T9x subs.

It was later. 1987 maybe. The Penta at Heathrow? Anyhow, the analog vs digital demo was a massacre. The digital played first. I think it may have been an expensive Krell CD player. Then the analog. There was literally a gasp from the audience!

Are you sure the small tubes are in the correct positions in both amps? What about swapping them to see if the noise follows them? You could try one at a time. Do you have any WiFi routers or APs nearby?

Speaker static/hiss?
It's just circuit noise. Try the gain controls and whole you're at it, try the ground lift switch. Give it 5 mins to let it settle.
