New Zu Mission cable
Gopher,You really can't go wrong with the trial period on the PCs. I believe they didn't have much selection in B-stock Mission cables when I got mine. Slim pickens. I waited too long. That PC was the first thing I inserted and had I not gotten an...
New Zu Mission cable
Game over. At least for me. Just got my new Burson integrated and boy oh boy, it just blew all the smoke, dust and debris out of the Mission cables. All of them. Maybe the high winds we've been experiencing out here in L.A. helped.I dunno.Hate to ...
New Zu Mission cable
Just put in the PC on the amp and there was an immediate improvement. Any haze (which I hadn't noticed) was gone, daddy gone. Clear as a sky of azure blue, clear as an unmuddied lake. Next, one for the CDP. Improvement not as substantial as the fi...
Is this the END of DAYS for the high end CD player
It might have a forestalling effect, but high end CDPs are not on their way out. Just as vinyl soldiers on, CDs will as well. As extracting that last bit gets better, just as it has with vinyl, audiophiles will discover "what they've been missing"...
What makes the Bloom around instruments . . .
Kell_man,I get that same 'bloom' you refer to when I use my Burson integrated. I don't feel it's distortion but the amps ability to pick up that last bit of info off the recording, intact, and sending it along to you speakers. That bloom is specif...
Vibration Theory - Isolate or Drain?
I use Herbie's Tendefeet under everything electronic. Cones will "drain" in the vertical plane while the Tenderfeet "drain" and absorb in all planes from the point of contact. Can't say you'll have the same results but it works for me.
Christmass
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone out there.
New Zu Mission cable
Just ordered the Mission ICs, speaker cable and power cord. A no brainer at the prices and with the 60 day return policy. Will report back.
Blue Moon Award for Burson Audio's new DAC/Preamp
Charles1dad,I think the appeal of Srajan's style has to be his being German born and classically educated, a world traveler, and having spent so much time in America. What seems, at first blush, to be an incongruence, grammatically, is actually ol...
Blue Moon Award for Burson Audio's new DAC/Preamp
Charles1dad,Yes, it would. Being an avid reader of Srajan's reviews, I believe he tends to delve into these characteristics more when it tends to be an amp review. My guess was nothing more than that: a guess based on a perception of what I think ...
Blue Moon Award for Burson Audio's new DAC/Preamp
I would say he is describing an amp and it's ability to portray an event that mimics reality without being too etched, which would draw one's attention away from said event to concentrate more on the individual performers, losing the magic of the ...
Blue Moon Award for Burson Audio's new DAC/Preamp
If its anything like their headphone amp, then its probably going to be a winner. Srajan at 6moons loved it. I have their older integrated and am awaiting their newer on as I write this and trust me, they make a great sounding product.
How does one get off the merry-go-round?
When you no longer see the brass ring.
"American Sound" Speakers
Trying to pigeon hole the 'American sound' is, I believe, for naught. Our country is too damn big with too many points of view that to narrow it down would be academic, at best. Yes, there were ground breakers, earth shakers, and revelations of al...
