Actually, the device that Srajan uses is a S.M.S.L. SD-9, which goes for around $400. It replaced a Soundaware that went south on him. I’ve read where is has some glitches with other features but the SD card reader part is a solid performer. I ...

Srajan, over at 6moons, has found a SD card is the best way to listen since it leaves out the computer (with all it's noise), leaves out streaming (with all the various boxes, decrapifiers, cabling, etc.) and CD playback (spinning disks, vibration...
Dang it, I'm Deaf....
Wonderful video. It reminds me of some deaf people who place their hands on the necks of loved ones as they speak. Not only are the musical sound vibrations stimulating the fingertips, but the vocal chords of those talking and singing are vibratin...
What say you?
For as long as I've been in this hobby, it was always understood that dealers made the biggest gains from markup on cables and ancillaries. One need not spend a fortune on cables to get great results. Careful trial and error will get you there and...

So it's the timing that upsets you and leads you to come to this conclusion?  Notice how you cleverly tried to maintain neutrality by saying it doesn't matter which side one takes. Sounds like you were looking for an excuse to get your licks in. ...
Quadratic Diffusers
Some day when you win the lottery, you can do what John Darko did to his place:   It all cost about €10,000. All the best, Nonoise

So where do you fall in the spectrum.? Gear or Music?
They're just toddlers with keyboards.  Truer words have not been spoken. Great piece on the cultural analysis of audio hobbyists in Japan. I truly wonder if it wholly applies here though. All the best, Nonoise

On that note, I've saved up my hard earned retirement money to get the new Technics SU-G700M2 when it come out (hopefully) this month. Some of the tech from the SU-R1000 trickled down to it and I can't wait to hear it. All the best, Nonoise
So where do you fall in the spectrum.? Gear or Music?
Always loved music but it took the right gear to get me where I'm at, and it's a never ending quest as well, so throw in the journey which both require and call it a day. All the best, Nonoise
Dust in the window
Nope, can’t beat yours or stereo5’s stories. They cover the spectrum from a present situation to a lasting one and I’m all the better for having heard them and not experiencing them. My best to hemtt3345 for all the cleaning he has ahead of him a...

Nah, they need to keep the media imbed feature as it’s working wonders. Just look at all the whining being done about it. It’s one thing to banter in print but to park them in the cheap seats with a caption is.......priceless! dabel, thanks for t...
