Thank you for the comments on the P3's. What kind of amplifiers have you used with them? I have some EL84 amps that put out an amazingly dynamic as well as beautiful 15 watts. Do you think that would work well?

Hi Paulfolbrecht,Would you say the P3's would have the same "house sound" so to speak as the larger ones you have heard? What equipment are you using with the P3's?

I'm in Appleton, about 4hrs drive north of downtown Chicago. I'm mostly interested in the Compact 7's and SHL5's.
Pink Triangle Anniversary vs Raven One
I've got an LP12/Naim ARO analog rig that was modified by Pink Triangle with a new top plate, switching the motor to dc and moving it to the 7:30 position as well as utilizing a DC Battery power supply. It is an awesome combination. Over on the Na...
Pink Triangle Anniversary vs Raven One
Jaybo,I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you mean by "no jump up". Do you mean that the Raven is not a jump up improvement over the Pink Triangle or do you no, it wouldn't be a sideways move and he should jump up to the Raven?Thank you for cla...
Tube Tuners
I use the McIntosh MR67 tubed tuner and it is incredible sounding. Listening to classical and jazz music over National Public Radio is often times more enjoyable to me than listening to my cd player. Way better than any solid state tuner that I've...
Rebuilding LP12; which tone arm
I have owned the ARO on the LP12 for many years and can say it is a wonderful combination. What I like about it is that the music is portrayed in a very balanced way by not over emphasizing one area over another. It allows the excellent detail, ha...

New ECM Vinyl
Hello Waltwalden,Thank you so much for the link in regards to Keith Jarret and ECM. What a fun read and so true. My brother is a professional jazz musician who has played all over the world with the Tommy Dorsey and Glenn Miller Orchestras, as wel...
New ECM Vinyl
I'm curious about the new Kieth Jarret recordings. I like a lot of his music and playing but sometimes his humming or moaning along with his playing can become annoying at times. Is he doing that on these new recordings?
Classification of Benz Micro cartridges
Congratulations David12,I think that you'll love your choice. Please report back after it's broken in and let us know how you like it on your Raven.
Can anyone compare The Benz Lp vs. the LpS
I'm sorry I can't comment on the sound differences between the two cartridges. I would mention to keep in mind that the LPS weighes quite a lot more than the Ebony Lp. Make sure your arm can handle the extra weight.
What is the Phono stage you have finished with?
I absolutely love my Artemis Labs Ph-1. It's an all tube design using 6n1p's, 12ax7's and 5687's giving about 52dB of gain without the use of any step up transformers. Loading is completely adjustable by simply plugging resistors in the back panel...
Classification of Benz Micro cartridges
I wanted to edit my previous post but didn't know how. Everything I had said is accurate except for this sentence..."Benz Wood SL, Wood SM, Wood SH are the same as the Ebony, Ebony TR, and Ebony H but uses the Bruyere Wood vs. the Ebony Wood bodie...
