Best Tubed Preamp For A Warm, Rich Sound, Yet Still Detailed and Agile
I was speaking with Jeff Wells of Wells Audio, at length, earlier tonight. Turns out that he has two preamps coming out this summer which he said would produce world class sound paired with my existing Wells power amplifier. I think, at this point...

Best Tubed Preamp For A Warm, Rich Sound, Yet Still Detailed and Agile
Just came across this in a Stereophile review of a VTL preamp I thought worth looking into, and it also has me very interested based on the description of the sound. Again, though I would, have to wait for a used unit to appear, in the interest of...

almarg, thanks for including that quote on the Herron. I've obviously heard of them but do not know a great deal about the company other than hearing many positives, in general. By that description, it certainly does sound like something I need to...

PSB T3 Owners - Tell Me About Your Speakers - Considering Purchase - Can't Demo Them
itzhak,You are absolutely correct. The 300 would not be correct for my size room, and the salesman dutifully pointed out that the PL200 II would be the proper speaker. And again, they were still too analytical for my tastes. I am surprised to hear...
PSB T3 Owners - Tell Me About Your Speakers - Considering Purchase - Can't Demo Them
Itzhak, I pent some significant time auditioning the more expensive Monitor Audio PL300ii earlier this week. They didn't have the PL200ii in stock but told me that, per the manufacturers rep, the two speakers had virtually the same sound. Very nic...

Best 845 Tubes For Art Audio Carissa?
I would ideally like to go with the Psvane TII or the Shuguang Natural Sound 845T, but again, need to be sure they are comnpatiable with the amplifier.
