Thinking about selling my CD collection = MP3 what about the time when we all flouted the copyright law of making copy versions on a cassette deck (to play them in the car) of our favourite LP's. Fine so far in a copyright perspective, but when the LP was no longer playable and we dumped it, ...
Isolation platform under US 500 for CDP I have used the SRA's VR series(should be close in your range)and it has been better than any component upgrade. e.g. moving upto the Meitner was good but the SRA's definitely make it better. great company to deal with too.
All the Emmlabs dcc2/cdsd hoopla.. Ggil,I was more interested to compare the EMM CDSD vs.APL modded Denon with the additional meitner optical outputs, both going through a DCC2. So the real test being between the two transports.Would anybody else share some light on this too.Thanks...

Anyone have experience with the Nanotec Nespa? Does anyone know what the difference is between a Normal and a Pro Nespa? More Light/Shorter Zap time?and most of all for the numerous CD's that we have differentiating the Nespaing (thanks Lee) treated CD's from zapping them again in the Nespa by...
anyone used rives parc equip. with emmlabs dcc2 If you do give it a go, then let us know the outcome. I used to have the Zsystem EQ, but with the emm gear you can't take advantage due to the optical connectors. You have to be so careful incorporating such units as it gets confusing(you like the...
Has anyone used emm labs dcc2/cdsd with a sub? Mike,I have been unsuccesful so far. Before the dcc2/cdsd combo, I was spoilt with the flexibility of the Theta Casablanca capabolity to do the Xover in the digital domain. Now I only use the sub(Whise-Aussie made as TJN from S/phile said it came ...
Analog Pre-Amp EMM DCC2? It is a great pre-amp and highly neutral. I use the analog inputs from my Casablanca processor into it when I want to use my 2 channel as the front L&R for my home theatre. it would stack up to the Emm switchman quality which is equavalent to ...
EAD DSP 7000/9000 .... Best DACs ????? If you can update it through the mod company you would be onto a real winner here. I remember the 9000 having teflon circuit boards, and I really enjoyed my 7000. After all a DAC is mainly computer technology driven in its processing power.Apologi...
EAD DSP 7000/9000 .... Best DACs ????? the 9000 was a classic DAC but too old from what is now available!
EMM Lab DCC2 & CDSD Better connection? Please note that ST cables take time to settle in(300hrs. I have tried 5 different types of ST cables and from the stock standard(one's that came with the emm labs gear-orange/black/blue/red), the Audioquest(stereophile recc.), AT&T(brand)and ...
Has anybody Cryo'd their complete amp-results? Thanks all. It's very clear the risk is too great. I better stick with cables and interconnects only. There is no way I would get a guarantee from the cryo treatment people, and the amps are too dear to my musical heart(Wavelength Napoleons) to ta...
High quality transports I think you should consider the EMM gear.HP from TAS thinks that the Emm Labs CDSD transport is an enlightening break in audio history after a decade. Users rave about it, partnered with the DCC2 or DAC6e.Good Luck, I am sure with your list you'll...
Can you play Doves Some Cities on emmLabs CDSD ? Don't have that particular CD(Doves), but I have not had anyissues with the other copy controlled CD's playing on the CDSD transport.
