Any thoughts on the Avid Acutus? Sounds like an expensive lateral move to me.
The Stones' Bigger Bang Kind of harsh, don't you think? I doubt it's the money. After all, they are all very, very rich. It could be they just like to perform. People seem to still like them live. They are always the top concert draw in any year they perform. It's amazing ...
The Stones' Bigger Bang It is better than their last two albums of original material and the blues numbers aren't bad. Overall, I agree.
Denon DVD 2900 problems with SACD Sounds like the laser is having a problem focusing. Could be as simple as dust on the lens or it needs an adjustment. I've used the same player for a long time with zero problems.
Has anyone hearing to much digital information ? Reminds me of the scene in Amadeus when Mozart is told his music has too many notes and he should remove some.
Denon DVD 2900 problems with SACD Is either layer playable? Have they ever played? Will SACD only discs or CD Only discs play? Will DVDs play?
More Line Inputs Needed C123666, those are excellent recommendations. Thank you.
Denon DVD 2900 problems with SACD I'm confused. How are you playing SACDs in a Rega Planet?
The Stones' Bigger Bang Don't call me Shirley :). Well, I use Audio Physic Avanti IIIs which have pretty darn good bass.

I finally bought a record cleaning machine $ Albert, I believe you. That's pretty much what I experience in my system. The bottom line is any system that has a mechanical or physical interface and friction is going to produce noise. I don't view it as a problem.
I finally bought a record cleaning machine $ This subject seems to come up with some regularity. It makes me wonder. There is no such thing as an absolutely silent record. For folks whose initial reference is CD they may never be happy. Well pressed records in mint condition can have a remar...
The Stones' Bigger Bang Pretty good album. Lousy sound, where's the bass?
Sonny Rollins Live He's a legend and in his mid 70's. See him now or regret it when he is no longer around. Really not a difficult decision.
Audible Illusions Modulus 3A an upgrade? Wow, I couldn't disagree more. No imaging, shrieking highs, colored mids and sloppy bass. They do thump and play loud which made them a popular rock speaker. Whatever floats your boat. |
