Amps for Vandersteen 3A Signature SS or Tube?
Over the years I have owned 1B, 1C, 2CE, 2CE Sig, 3A and 3A Sig speakers. I've always thought they were some of the best bank for the buck speakers available. I still do. However, once you move up in class (and spend more money) they are easily be...
Denon DVD 2900 problems with SACD
I've had mine for more than a year. The only discs that are a problem are the DualDiscs. The player doesn't seem to like the thicker discs and skips on the CD side.
Amps for Vandersteen 3A Signature SS or Tube?
How are speakers both "laid back and detailed"? I don't understand that description. 1, 2 a 3 Vandersteens are of a similar character. The 5 is a different class altogether. I still suggest solidstate to bring out the best the 3 has to offer but, ...
Best of Both Worlds,
For that budget I would give a serious listen to PSB.
Amps for Vandersteen 3A Signature SS or Tube?
The Vandersteens are a good speaker and an excellent value. They are a bit veiled. I find solidstate brings out their best. The Belles would be an excellent choice.
DCM Time Window 1 questions

Wow! If you are asking this question you need to rethink your plan to open a store. Be prepared to lose your investment. It is a tough business even for those with grat passion and knowledge. Good luck.
A Night for Johnny Cash
I believe it was "The Wanderer" (not the Dion song).
180 Gram vs. MFSL
Impossible to answer without know more about the 180. If in doubt, by the MFSL.
Best movies last two years

Can Wilson Audio Sophia live in a 150 sqf room
I think it is too much speaker for the room. It'll work but you want get all the performance that is available from the Sophia.
VPI periphery record ring for VPI Scoutmaster
Buy the SDS first and then the ring. Both are outstanding upgrades and worth having. As to cost, well, in my opinion, none of the audiophile crap warrants the prices charged but, if you want to play you have to pay.
Audio Physics Avanti 3 Vs. Joseph RM33si
I've owned Avanti IIIs for two years. They replaced Virgo IIs. Incredible imaging, transparent and excellent bass response. I don't know the Joseph model.
Linn LP12......That good??
George, if it sounded thin there was a problem with the setup and/or the associated components. I own Linn, VPI, Oracle and Nottingham and use them all. The VPI TNT is the best of the bunch but the Linn is a wonderful table. IT DOES NOT sound thin.
