Blue Note reissues as an investment? Probably but I would never buy records as an investment instrument. Many more reliable ways to make money.
Feickert analogue protractor....Owners impressions I'm finally out of that stage. As long as it sounds good I don't worry about it. I'm not one to use a 6 step, 15 minute process to clean a record either. It's simply not worth it to me. Ken's is the easiest protractor I've ever used. The MintLp ce...
Feickert analogue protractor....Owners impressions Dan ed, I'm not challenging your opinion. I just want to know. I prefer Ken's to the Feikert. Both of which I bought. If the MintLp is actually, not just theoretically, better I will have to buy one. Most importantly, is there a difference in soun...
Feickert analogue protractor....Owners impressions Dan ed, have you compared the Ken Willis to the MintLp to KNOW there is a difference? If you have I will have to consider buying a MintLp protractor. If not, Ken's protractor is a bargain at $55
Feickert analogue protractor....Owners impressions I've owned the Feickert and and Ken Willis' arc protractor.I sold the Feickert.
What is the difference in a 2 eye and 6 eye record 6 eye is an earlier pressing and, usually, superior. The last were pressed in 1962 when the change to 2 eye was made. Original 2 eye pressings tend to be excellent. If you have the choice of a 6 eye or a 2 eye of the same title go for the 6 eye.
Feickert analogue protractor....Owners impressions It's good. It does not come with a strobe light. I suggest you contact Ken Willis in the Vinyl section of Audioasylym.com and check out his protractors. They are the simplest I have ever used. Good luck.
California Audio Labs Icon Mk II; NOT POWERBOSS Good player but very long in the tooth and CAL Audio Labs has been out of business for years. I would not buy it.
Wilson sophia typically found with solid state Not at all. The Sophia sounds wonderful with tubes. VTL, for one, is an excellent match.
Replace Magnavox CDB 650 with Ayre CX-7e ? Most dealers will allow a loan of their demo as long as you leave a credit card to cover it. Best to listen in your system. Ayre is a good company that makes outstanding products. Only you can decide if it is the right upgrade.
Does a Postal Money order need to "clear"? They are counterfeited so I can see a seller might want to wait. They can go to their local post office and verify that it is genuine and not stolen.
Eichmann Bayonet plugs user experience I've used Eichmann RCAs for awhile and they do have a reliability problem. I've had at least two cables that had to be reterminated by the manufacturer. I've never used the speaker connectors. I quit buying cables terminated with Eichman plugs.
Vandersteen 2 Grill Cloth Housing I agree with the others. Vandersteen has a special gig for installing the grill cloth and end caps. It can be done manually but it is not easy and difficult to reinstall perfectly. If they were mine I wouldn't do it.
Alignment Snafu? Or? Try the Stevenson geometry. It may give you more flexibility with alignment. I have VPI HW-19 and Audioquest arm and find it difficult to optimize setup with Baerwald. I haven't tried Lofgren.
Alignment Snafu? Or? My documentation shows a spindle to pivot distance for the Audioquest arm of 210mm. |
