Ayre or Rowland Amp?
You are welcome, Bob. I have no worries about service, should my H2O amps need it. Henry Ho, builder of the H2O (hence the name) will service his creations for life. He is just that kind of guy. What's more, a service technician has noted any amp ...
Ayre or Rowland Amp?
Being an H2O owner, instead of concluding ICE technology has, "A way to go," On the contrary, I'm wondering what more amp evolution is possible. There is a down side. When one commits to the H2O, or any ICE amp, one has committed to a total system ...
Ayre or Rowland Amp?
ICE is a good class D module to start with. It shares with tubes a liquidity and spaciousness. The 201, and 501 sound much the same, according to people who have heard both. The 300 series amps are better sounding, due to their linear power supply...
H2O 250 vs Mono's vs Spectron Musician III HELP
Kana, One analogue H2O owner is using a TacT preamp, and likes it. I'm not sold on TacT's correction system, as yet. I enjoy a very wide sweet spot in my room configuration, where I can enjoy the music from all places downstairs. One thing that ha...

H2O 250 vs Mono's vs Spectron Musician III HELP
I looked the Nuforce up, being a new name to me. I have to say, it seems a good contender in the middle end market. Seeing that the amp has a digital supply (no surprise here) I questioned whether it would be a contender with any of the amps menti...

H2O 250 vs Mono's vs Spectron Musician III HELP
Shunyata has won out over a wide collection of other brand power cords in my area. I believe that is due to Shunyata's close attention to shield strengths. I cannot emphasize enough, that all components should have well shielded cords when using P...
H2O 250 vs Mono's vs Spectron Musician III HELP
I would strongly suggest the H2O Signatures, if you want to rock. These will blast you out of your mind. For the first time, you will be aware of the separate members of the band, at any given moment. They will be there. The H2O Signatures will sl...
which amp should i get another marsh, aragon, eAR
Re "I believe the pre-amp should be completely passive."It has been my experience, passive preamps are a poor choice when partnered with PWM amps, such as the eAR. And that is a crying same, because I believe the great PWM amps are the most natura...
Oversampling vs. Upsampling
I disagree. I believe non-upsampling machine sounds the most natural. The limitless note decay found in a non up and over sampling DAC is indicative of it's resolution powers.
Apogee Stage passive crossover component values
Surely someone at the user's group can help you. I know of at least two Stage owners that have rebuilt their passive crossovers.
Need some juice --- High power amps
I second what audiofankj had to say. On a tough load, or on an easy load, the H2O lets you into the music. You won't be thinking in terms of tight bass, warm mids, or airy highs. It's the music in all it's glory, when it comes to the H2O's perform...

Amplifier recommendation for Legacy Focus 20/20
If you want to hear every instrument in an orchestra throughout the play of a disc, even all in the violin section, then please consider the H2O Signature monos, $5,500. Read audiofankj's review here:http://forum.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/fr.pl?ramps&a...
