High End Intergraded comparisons, Marantz, McIntosh, Levinson, Luxman....
Of the ones you have listed the only competition in my mind is from Luxman and Hegel, and I would add Accuphase to the list.  If you replaced my Luxman 509x with either that PM 10 or an H390 I’m sure I would be just as happy. I do like that Luxman...
What Recordings Of Yours Did Not Age Well?
As my system got better my U2 recordings became progressively flatter and more lifeless.  Which surprises me as Brian Eno is no slouch in the studio.
Beautiful Music That Reduce You To Tears
Hey all, Here’s a few more. I actually think there are better entries by Warren Zevon...such as this one. Written while he was dying of cancer and he well knew it.   And this one from the man in black to me is far better than Hurt....from t...
Integrated Amplifiers - Luxman vs Pass Labs
Both very good choices OP and like the comment above I would surely be happy with either.  I use the 509x and always remember this quote from a review of it:    For argument and sake of reference point, if you were to put Boulder amplifiers (and...
Two Sources, One DAC
Thank you @mlsstl @alexopth1512....confirmed what I figured would be the case.  Are all DAC's selectable as such?  Would really be intrigued to add a tube version to the mix.   Thanks!   EW
Integrated Amplifier for Sonus Faber Olympica II
Of your choices OP I'd go Luxman without question.  It makes far better power into 4 ohms than that Mcintosh does.  IMHO the appropriate comparison would be 505>5300, 507>7200 and 509x>9000/12000.
Need help choosing Sonus Faber Sonetto V or VIII, what amp?
The MA252 is a solid state amp with a tube preamp.  I believe that may end up being a little less maintenance over the long term vs an all tube setup.  I mention this because you stated you are new to this.   As for cables you should be looking at...
Preowned Wilson Audio Chicago Dealer
Hi all, FWIW I too have dealt with Albert multiple times and there are shreds of truth in these posts from both sides.   For reference I just scanned a small video I took when I was in there in the spring and there are multiple Wilson’s in the sho...
No more Zu Dirty Weekends replacement suggestions
I own Zu’s and for that style of music might look elsewhere.  Used Monitor Audio or Focal maybe?
Struggling to spend 13k with three dealers
@cowan217 which Klipsch would you be trading?  I'm near CHI and the dealer here I'm guessing you are working with might be able to make this work.  I'm intrigued by the heritage lines.
Call me crazy but I love sometimes just looking at my speakers and set up...
My wife is in the restaurant business.  One of the chefs once told me “the first taste is with the eyes” and I think that applies here.
Krell KAV-250p - time for change?
Interesting post.  The one thing I don't love about my Luxman is this same idea....1) specifically that there are BIG jumps when you use the remote and 2) I have no visual indicator on the volume knob where i'm at when seated and lights are dimmed...
Best music in 2021
Neal Francis - In Plain Sight.  Good luck standing still while this one is playing!
Best music in 2021
@slaw our tastes are remarkably similar.  I haven't thought about Low in a long time.  Had a Luna track come up the other day.....will check out the new DW.   Thanks!
Zu introduces Soul 6
Just curious what else buyers are comparing.    Isn't that typically Omega, Devore and Klipsch?
