What will a preamp do for me?
To the OP, I will chime in....." Loud rock sounds flatter, less dynamic than I’d like ". Loud rock is not Thiel territory, and, with a tube amp ? Not to sound crude, but you have it all wrong. I am also a convert to passive, as I no longer want to...
Does anyone care to ask an amplifier designer a technical question? My door is open.
This is not in a bad way. " First I'm not using this post to sell amplifiers, that is up to you. " Exposure, soft selling, putting the puppy in my arms. Genius ! All good. Love the thread ! Enjoy ! MrD.

No one has said this yet, except Roger, in his response to my 1st question. If this isn't a form of advertising and exposure, and yes, to sell some amplifiers, I do not know what is. Awesome Roger ! Enjoy ! MrD.

Roger, thank you again for your response. My ears have required long warm up times for almost all of the gear I have had over the years. Solid State as well as tubes, dacs, tuners, tape machines, etc. I suppose R. V. knew what I was talking about,...

Roger, thank you for the response. I have to disagree with you as to warm up time of a component ( which is relative to break in time ). For me, 5-10 minutes is never enough. " Don't sound bad when they come up slowly ". For me it takes much more ...

BTW, I am believer in both pcs and fuses. Enjoy ! MrD.

I will be the first. I never owned an amp of yours. I have owned other tube amps by several other manufacturers. I gave up on them, and this has been through a pair of modified and tweek'd pair of Klipsch Lascala. Why did I give up on them ? Noise...
Denon Power amplifier or Yamaha amplifier help please
The Yamaha will require adaptors at the input, in your situation. 1/4 inch male to rca female, or cables made with 1/4 inch male and rca male. Available through the Bay, Amazon or any number of places on the web. Enjoy ! MrD.
Greatest debut album
I agree with many mentioned above. But I truly like the 1st album by Audioslave. Chris Cornell, RIP......Enjoy ! MrD.
Used audiophile preamp
How about telling us what you feel is lacking in your system ?, as it could just be upgradetitus. How about better room acoustics.  Enjoy ! MrD.
New power cord needed for speaker with powered subwoofer?
rvpiano, did I read above early in your thread that you have Morrow MAP4 power cables ? These are after market cables. Did you buy them with the expectation of hearing a difference, and in fact, did you ? If you did, you are answering your own que...
Whats playing on your system today?
Just listened to P.F. Meddle. Cranked Echoes to peaks of about 110 db. Awesome ! Enjoy ! MrD.
Wireless amp to juice rear surround speakers?
I have used a Rocketfish system for years with great success. It has a sender unit that hooks up to speaker outputs of your amp, which also plugs in electrically with an included small wall wart power supply. This sends the signal to the other end...
Best Preamp New or Used up to $3,000 ??
Contact Tim Stinson at Luminous Audio. Several months ago I replaced two $5-$6 K preamps with a Luminous Audio Axiom, Walker mod, 3 in, 2 out, single ended, with remote, passive unit, and could not be happier. What I am hearing is less coloration,...
Tube phono stage, or solid state, pre amp
What about the room. Are you getting too many early reflections ? Do you listen with your listening chair against a wall ? What about the wall between the speakers. I would do treatments of some kind to the room before making any changes. Just my ...
