Tekton Double Impacts Quick Q: I'm considering a used pair of DI's that are a few years old. Has there been any model, tweeter, or Woofer changes since the model came out that I should know about?
Zu audio advice Snopro:. I'm loving them thank you. I had forgotten the big juicy tone that Zu delivers in spades. Now I'm doing a lot of fine tuning with placement, cable changes, and tube rolling in the Franks and Lampizator. I'm quite happy with the Druids ...
Zu audio advice I agree and I would just give Zu a call. They love to take care of all customers. Recent example of their amazing customer service: I bought SnoPro's beautiful Druids and am loving them, but I couldn't find one of the bolts to raise the Druids...
Decware Torii owners: speaker recommendations? I had a Torii paired with Omen Defs and it was a great combo. As Keith recommends the Zu Druids would be an even better match.
What speakers work best with electronic music? Yes I have the Definitions in San Francisco. I also highly recommend Atmasphere's advice. The best bass I've heard in an efficient speaker is the GR Research Super V's. There are lots of Zu owners around the country if you call Zu I bet they can h...
What speakers work best with electronic music? I'm a big electronica fan also and yes you want a speaker with very good dynamics and bass. My two favorites are the Zu Definitions and the Tekton Pendragons for electronica. If you're in the bay area PM me for a demo. I do believe horns with subs...
Zu Omen Def's, Tekton Pendragon SEAS, or Omega's? How about the Lores on one end of the price spectrum or the new Druid mk V on the other hand? Both are phenomenal in the nearfield.
Zu Omen Def's, Tekton Pendragon SEAS, or Omega's? I owned the Pendragons (non-SE) and Zu Omen Defs. You can't go wrong with either one except for one concern: will the Pendragon SE overload your room with bass? That's the biggest question that you need to answer besides the amp question.
Help with a system for a guy into electronic music I have no argument against the F113's at all. My friend who has the Super V's had them prior to his upgrade. However, I did not hear them so I should reserve comment.
Help with a system for a guy into electronic music I'm into the electronica scene here in San Francisco and we have clubs here with amazing sound systems: Check out the system at the club Monarch for an example. My point is I know how electronica sounds on these world class systems. I have Zu Defi...
Zu Druid & Definition Roundup Hi WRM. That's nearly the exact set up that 213Cobra (Phil) has in his home. The sweet spot is plenty big enough for several to enjoy from the couch (as I did twice there upon). I did not hear it in HT Duty, so maybe others can chime in. Anyway, g...
"What's The Best Value Speaker In $5k-$10k Range?" My favorites are the following:1. GR Research Super V. These are DIY kits but you can find a builder or Pre-made set on Audiocircle. These will cost you 5-7k. 2. Zu Definition mk IV's (used) or Zu Druid mk V. The new Zu tweeter takes these two spe...
LAMM2.1 with Tannoy Westminster Royal SE Speakers If you are looking for a good 845, I would recommend the Melody M845 monoblocks. There is not much info on them online, but with the right tube combination they can beat out the Sophia Electric 845 and are much more reliable. Bass is by far the be...
Coincident Dragon MK I vs MK II Yes, I heard the Black Shadows at 213Cobras a few weekends back. It was an enlightening two visits over two weekends. We listened and compared the Melody M845's to the Audion's. We also had a Pre-amp shoot out, and listened to the Druid V's and th...
Coincident Dragon MK I vs MK II Have you compared the Dragon's to the Black Shadows btw Ernie? |
