| Eliminated my preamp with amazing results I did the same thing and I liked the more direct dac to amp route better at first. Long term I preferred the preamp in the chain. YMMV. As others have mentioned, you might consider keeping your preamp for a bit. | |

| What to ask when buying used speakers? I like and use @bigtwin ’s approach. Also no feedback or bad feedback ratings I won’t pursue at all. I’ve probably bought 15 used speaker pairs and never had an issue with a single one. Probably only half were shipped, the rest were driveable. | |
