Got to visit Audio Alternatives
Or it was a publication like the early Stereophile. Talking 70s here. There was a magazine called "Audio Adventure" back in that time.  I have a few copies.
Musical Fidelity Phono preamp loading
Loading plugs: The standard values as supplied (Green plugs for MC, Blue plugs for MM) can be used for the majority of today’s cartridges or custom values can be fitted to match your preference. These go into the "load" inputs.
got to visit Ayre yesterday
PS Audio is not remotely close in performance, and not in the same galaxy in terms of manufacturing quality. So you should avoid visiting them if you're in the same town?  Seems kinda stupid...

You should have hit PS Audio while you were in Boulder.  Paul has a really cool new sound room.
Got to visit Audio Alternatives
It is Audio Alternative.  AA is in Fort Collins, Ayre is in Boulder.  About 60 miles or so.
Great sounding/recorded albums
As good as any Steely Dan album is The Nightfly by Donald Fagen. +1  Yeah, baby!
Great sounding/recorded albums
Only audiophiles are impressed by technically accurate reproduction. Not so sure if that's true, but What impresses everyone else is hearing the music they love sound better than they ever dreamed. That's very true!
Great sounding/recorded albums
@dtximages...there are others that share the same feeling about Steely Dan.  Everyone has a favorite band or group.  Not expecting everyone to love them.Becker and Fagen were perfectionists.  Not only with their music, but their production and sou...
Great sounding/recorded albums
Steely Dan's Aja is hard to beat. Their Two Against Nature might just beat it though. Some have referred to Steely Dan's work as "over produced" but they are mistaking it for "perfectly produced". +1 I don't particularly love Steely Dan's mus...

FWIW, I’ve used Magnestands and Sound Anchors. On the smaller Maggies I definitely prefer the SAs as they raise the panels up off the floor and the result is added air and spaciousness to the presentation. +1  I was a Magnepan dealer for many ...
Best Record Cleaning Fluid
Many years ago people observed their Monster Speaker Cable turning green through the clear PVC jacket. This was due to dehydrohalogenation of the PVC jacket producing HCl which reacted with the copper conductor forming copper chloride I was alw...
Best Record Cleaning Fluid
What a load of fantastic, imaginitive, misleading nonsense this guy does not know what he is talking about! Huh?...this article talks about using a SEM and actually has pictures.  It mentions: " Because records are so dark, they absorb light. ...
Best Record Cleaning Fluid
I have tried a couple of the MOFI fluids and they were fine.  I have never heard of Revolv, so I had to look it up.  Never used the Okki Nokki fluid either.
Best Record Cleaning Fluid
mofimadness, I do not know what cleaning technique you use and it is probably more advanced than what I do but if you use a Spin Clean with L’ Art if you do not do a separate rinse cycle with distilled water the residue will gum up your stylus aft...
