Insurance values
My understanding is that if your policy is for replacement value, you base the insured value on a similar item available today. I would consult your insurance broker to make sure, since that is his/her job. +1...My house got hit by a tornado i...
Tube tester...anyone own their own?
I’ve had one for many years. I get it re-calibrated every so often. One of the best investments I’ve made. I have drawers full of tubes, so it comes in handy quite often...

Moving up from a Node 2i
Why pay for something you'll never use.  I sure if you eliminate the TEAC CD slot drive and the 1TB hard drive, it would save $300-$400 dollars...no?  That would be ideal.  Shouldn't be that hard to do either.

Has anyone seen this...?
The problem I have with Steve, is that he is a decent reviewer if I could read about it.His voice is very grating, he's butt ugly and needed a haircut like 50 years ago.Just can't stand to watch and listen to him...
Barnes and Noble 50% off Vinyl Sale!!!
@tubegroover, @uberwaltz, @big_greg...my pleasure.  I don't usually associate B&N with any type of vinyl selection either.  I haven't been to a B&N for quite awhile now.I live in a small town, but pretty close to a couple of larger cities....
Audioquest buys GoldenEar
@stereo5... I could understand your concern(s), if the company that bought GE was non-audio related.I happen to know both sides quite well and IMHO, they will continue to innovate and provide excellent product in both value and performance for man...
