| Tube Rolling A Pro-Ject Tube Box SE 5751s will work, but you'll get about a 30% reduction in output. Probably will depend on what cartridge you are running. I'd had some 5751s sound much better than their 12AX7 counterparts, but in different gear. | |

| Is upgrading stock tubes standard proceedure? Speaking for myself :-) that's why I have probably $10,000 worth of tubes,(2 drawers full) of different tubes. They sound different in different gear, so you should always keep a good stash. Some NOS brands and types are getting VERY hard to find. | |
| odyssey stratos I currently have a Stratos DUAL-MONO on my CLSIIa. This amp works VERY WELL with these. The CLSIIa will drop below 1 ohm and this amp NEVER breaks a sweat! Very open sounding and I agree, a little dark. | |

| Denon DL-160 & Bottlehead Seduction C4S preamp? That's one of many cartridges that I tried with my Seduction, but couldn't get enough gain (volume) out of it. It sounded fine, but I guess I listen at more realistic volume levels. |
