Audio Research LS series......
ARC never made a LS6C. This would be a SP6C and was a wonderful preamp in it's day. I would recommend also the LS2 version (try to find a LS2BMKIIR).

I won't say I told you so...oh wait, yes I will :-) I still think you should have bought a Teres with a lesser arm for now, then upgrade the arm when you can afford it. The Avid's are very nice also.

I used a matched quad of the Mullard CV4003's, (from Upscale Audio) in my Belles preamp and was totally blown away. I had tried numerous others and found these to be excellent.

The LS16 NEVER had a built-in phone stage in either version. The SP16 does. You will need an outboard phono stage. The input names only were relabeled on the MK2.
