Ed,THANKS so much for hosting this site for the past 6 years! I have found it to be a GREAT reference and used it all the time.I'm sure the Vinyl Engine will continue with it as you would always have wanted it to.Thanks again...
Passive Preamp works with Dynavector p75?
I just noticed that your McIntosh MC 122 has level controls in the rear that can be set at .8v sensitivity. You could try that and see if it's enough gain for the passive preamp.
Best IC and Speaker Cable for DIY
I have read that the Neotech cable is supposed to be killer. I haven't heard it, but I might try some here soon.
Passive Preamp works with Dynavector p75?
The MC Gold has an output of .4mv. This combined with the P75 gives a total output of just 575mv. You really need to be at 1 volt minimum and a little higher would be even better. You can try it, but I don't think it will sound very good and there...
Passive Preamp works with Dynavector p75?
You have to add the gain from the phono stage plus the gain from the line stage, (preamp) to see if you have enough total output for the cartridge. I would doubt that the setup you list above will work very well. What cartridge do you have? We wil...

Best Vacuum tube for Bellari VP129
I don't think that Bellari runs the tube very hard, so I would say at least 2000-3000 hours and maybe more.
Any stellar performances of Irish music...

Best Vacuum tube for Bellari VP129
The Sovtek 12AX7LPS is very good and not to expensive. There are a myriad of NOS tubes, but they are kind of pricey. Try a Mullard CV4004 from Upscale Audio.http://www.upscaleaudio.com/Mullard-CV4004_p_5.html
Help: Speakers to fill Exceptionallly Large Room?

Wish List For Vinyl Pressings
How about all of the Beatles albums remastered from the original tapes, not the digital copies. These on 45 RPM would be asking too much, but what the hell...Santa?
