| Replace 12AU7 with 6SN7 ? Yogi, that is correct as I understand it also. I can't see how you could use a 6 volt tube in a 12 volt position even with an adapter, unless that adapter also steps down the voltage? | |

| Ground Loop Hum with balanced XLR cables only One or all of the XLR cables might be wired wrong/different (pin wise) which would make the ground pin not connected correctly.Usually it's the other way around. RCAs will create hum/noise and the XLR will solve it. | |

| Do Rega arms work well with LP12s? I've owned probably 20 different Linn LP12s through the years and several of them had Rega arms. IMHO, they worked quite well.If it were me, I would look for a used Ittok. | |

| More turntable set up problems You could have a bad tube(s) in your phono stage. If you haven't used the rig in a while, the cartridge might have dried out, (the rubber elasticizer that holds the cantilever in) which will impede the movement. Make sure you clean the stylus well... |
