Lotto gods, Lotto gods, wherefore art thou Lotto gods? I thought I was the only one who prayed to the Lotto Gods :-).
"Breakfast In America"...a lost cause?
I have several copies of this.  IMHO, the MOFI is the best followed by the German pressing, then the UK pressing.  I didn't like the Simply Vinyl copy I have.
linn catridge
You might be able to find a used Linn Adikt for around that price.  I have owned one, excellent MM cartridge.
Full Manual Turntable-What to do
Turn table off this should be no problem. It will protect your records. +1...in addition to what Spencer said, it will also protect your stylus.
Who has tried "TIDAL" vs other streaming applications?
I can't explain it but several times I've compared TIDAL to Redbook CDs I own and TIDAL consistently is as good and in some cases sounds better. When TIDAL offers MQA, game, set & match to TIDAL. +1 The only people who can say Spotify is s...
Audio Research SP9 MKII. Vs SP-14
The SP14 for sure, if those are the (2) you are comparing and even if the SP14 was a few hundred more. The SP9MKII is excellent, but the SP14 is better.
stylus choice for v-15 type iv
I bought an Ed Saunders for my V15 Type IV and it sounds amazing and tracks beautifully.  In a head to head comparison with the original Shure, this stylus measures extremely close.  +1...I just bought an Ed Saunders stylus for my V15III and it...
Yet another hum question (yes, I know - and I DID search the forums first)
I have a Yaqin MS22B phono stage.  The factory, for some stupid reason tied the negative (grounds) of right and left channel inputs and the right and left channel outputs together.  It was a pretty easy fix.Read post number 68.http://www.diyaudio....

Who remembers the Dahlquist DQ-10's?
I still have a pair.  I spent 4 months completely restoring them.  Even the old vinyl wrap was removed and new wrap was installed.  Bass drivers were re-foamed by Regnar.  I had a custom woodworker friend of mine take the original wood sides and m...
Audio Research SP9 MKII
I don’t think that ARC does the MKIII upgrade any longer to that unit. Actually I think it’s been quite awhile since they’ve done any upgrades to the SP9 series. They will, of course, still work on them, but not upgrade them.I could be wrong...
B&W Sold to a Silicon Valley Startup
bcgator...very well stated.
Audio Research SP9 MKII
This is strictly personal taste, but I’ve owned all three versions and my favorite is the MKII. If you want remote, the MKIII was the only way to get it as an option.
Manley Chinook
It's actually Eveanna and she is really cool.  I've known her for many years along with David and Luke. Here's some trivia:  Eveanna's father ( Albert J. Dauray) owned the guitar amplifier company AMPEG.
Audio Research SP9 MKII
IMHO, it's always better to get the factory original version, whether it's a MKI or MKII or MKIII.  Upgraded/updated ones might not be "exactly" the same as the factory original.BTW, I have a SP9MKII (factory original) and love it.  One of my favo...
