Speltz anti-ic's vs Nordost QuattroFil
Electroid, can you tell me if you are using them with cd or analog, or both?
Speltz anti-ic's vs Nordost QuattroFil
Or maybe Plato can answer the silver versus copper, on digital versus analog? Alex(of APL Hi-Fi) got me thinking about it, but I don't think he will see this. Alex may have found silver with a certain RCA that adds no harshness. Also, and I have t...
Speltz anti-ic's vs Nordost QuattroFil
I've lost my response twice, so I'll keep this short. I use Signal Cable Silver Resolutions for analog and Oritek X-2's for digital. I'm hoping that Jp1208 can answer the debate between silver and copper(Speltz)on analog vs. digital.
When is digital going to get the soul of music?
The system I heard the too-fast guitar was Alex's of APL Hi-Fi. It was 2 channel. The Eric Clapton cd was maybe made in 1988(or later). I think I only heard one other cd that had what I call digital artifacts(which may not be digital artifacts at ...
Nuforce
I've had the Nuforce 8's, 8.01's, and 8.02's(all b's with a single-ended 80's preaamp{RGR). If you are going used, and you have a preamp, you need to investigate the 8.02's. Even though I heard the 9.02's, I can't imagine anything exceeding the 8....
Help with speaker cables and interconnects
Can I mention that Signal Cable Silver Resolution speaker cable is now 3 parts silver(after being all silver before), and two parts copper. I can't give any info, other than anecdotal. People with the Silver Resolution interconnects and speaker ca...
When is digital going to get the soul of music?
D_Edwards, I heard a cd with Eric Clapton where the guitar sounded too fast. Would surround sound make more sense of this?
Review: DCM TimeWindow 1 Speaker
This is just slightly off subject. I'm really a horn(not horny) guy, but I live with someone who needs to hear off-axis. The DCM Time Windows excell at this. Does anyone have a recommendations in this area? Maybe later DCM's. I find the normal swe...
When is digital going to get the soul of music?
I have to mention here(God forbid) the "Absolute Sound" has two things in its last issue dealing with surround sound(I'm sure this is not the correct term.). One has to do with not auditioning a backlog of cd's. The other had to do with an Outlaw ...
Review: DCM TimeWindow 1 Speaker
I probably should e-mail DCM about this, as they are answering now, but if I remember correctly, they recommend 3-feet from the back wall. Any ideas here(I'm currently about 2 feet from the back wall, but with 2-inch maple under them{Mapleshade} a...
When is digital going to get the soul of music?
D_edwards, you have very interesting ideas. I'm not sure that I can test them out as far as surround sound is concerned(finances, etc.). I do believe that many who read this could comment on it though. I do want to mention something though. It is ...

Are the Beatles the reason why modern music exists
Ben_campbell, you have made very good points. It just keeps sticking in my mind that SP changed everything. I agree that it wasn't their best work(their double white album comes to mind). Maybe it had to do with the change from their roots(some of...
Nuforce
Look, apparently, I cannot upgrade my Nuforce 8.02b's to either 8.05's or 9's. Anyhow, the 8.02's are fantastic amps in their own right. As sources, I use Linn, Ekos, Archiv(circa 1992), Mana table-APL Denon 3910 cd player(currently being modified...
Nuforce
I hope people don't mind, but I haven't read all the responses here, yet. I have been an enthusiast for Nuforce amps, as shown by my previous posts on it. What I'm objecting to here is that I was told that only way I could update by Nuforce 8.02b'...
