Dedicated line last minute questions Apparently my electrician had industrial strenth plugs in mind but I used a Fim , a Power Port and a Wattgate 381. Everything sounds best through my Hydra 6 so I am, only using the Wattgate. I think it is the best sounding receptacle I have so I h...
Cheap tweaks...What would YOU reccomend? I've said it before but having your ears flushed by a physician once in a while can blow your mind. It really helps.
Pass X250.5 or the X350.5 I would go for the 350.5 funds permitting. I have a 250.5 and am happy but appatrently the 350.5's are even nicer. It used to be the 250's sounded better than the 350's but the 350.5's sound better than the 250.5's. I think they all sound good. I ...
Another speaker placement question. HELP I am in Canada but thanks for the offer. My system is way to big for that space but it does sound quite nice. To sell my Hales would be a huge loss but the sound is good regardless. I had a friend come by who gave me some advice and I basically pu...
Another speaker placement question. HELP Now I have moved the speakers back another foot so they are actually a foot and a half farther back and they are at least a foot closer to each other. I am now in a perfect equilateral triangle with the distance of the midline of each speaker to e...
Another speaker placement question. HELP I should mention the front and back walls are half walls but both side walls are full. I have an opening on the right side where one enters but the left side of me makes a corner. It is this corner which makes the left side a bit heavier sounding....
Another speaker placement question. HELP I have moved the speakers back about 5 inches and towed them in slightly so the tweeters would meet behind my head. I prefer this as it gives me a wider soundstage. My head is exactly 6 feet from either speaker's midline keeping me and the speaker...
Another speaker placement question. HELP Moving back the speakers 5 inches has helped. What seems to be happening is the back wall is open on my right side in order to enter this space and I think the left side is a bit fuller. I will try foam to compensate for the open area by putting i...

Pass X1?? My X1 is a keeper. I will never sell it. I am trying to express that I am thrilled with the sound I'm getting and could not be happier with my preamp. Even though it read well at Pass it was good to know for sure all was well. In any case I got th...
PASS XA100.5 Rabbani, The X250.5 should run any speakers. The 250.5 is a pretty big amp.Unless you require powering huge speakers you should be OK with just about any speaker.
Why do preamps improve sound of CDP? I received my preamp today and I can answer my own question. The preamp improves the sound of my headphone amp. It dramatically improves the sound of both my tuner or CDP. I had two headphone amps going attached directly to tuner and cd player and...
Pass X1?? The X1 returned as a new preamp and it sounds good. It requires burn in of a few parts but the sound is awesome directly from the box. The speaker placement has dramatically improved the sound and my X1 sounds fine. It is hard to tell what is doin...
PASS XA100.5 I use an X1 preamp to my 250.5. My amp is smaller than your amps but the X1 shines with it. Everyone will naturally tell you to get what they own but the Pass pre's go nicely with their amps. I'm keeping my X1 forever. Even the earlier Pass pre's ...
