Why no Virtual System pics?? Looking at system photos was everything to me when I joined "The ’Gon" 19 years ago. It was an incredible inspiration for me to explore the possibilities in creating a system. I wrote to a ton of guys here about their posted systems with questions...
How do you share the sweet spot? I only let music lovers in the sweet spot.If they're not music lovers, there's no point to it. I have no audiophile visitors.Amazingly, my jazz loving friends instinctively make a bee-line to the sweet spot. They've never heard the terms 'sweet ...
Does anyone collect something else other than music. I own over 4,000 vinyl LP's. They are openly displayed in cabinets in my living room. Once at a party someone said that it was a nice collection. Until that moment, I'd never considered myself a collector. I bought my first album when I was 12...
Most recordings you own by a single artist, group, or composer @Skyscraper:....you are so correct Sir. I've checked on Wikipedia and AllMusic, and Lee appears approximately a whopping 90 times as a sideman. I've got my work cut out for me. I'm stoked!
Tube Preamp with Solid State Amp? I've run a tube preamp with solid state amps for 15 years. I have to have tubes somewhere in my system.
If you had to start all over again in this day and age I'd go with smaller main speakers.I'd have at least 4 subwoofers, maybe 6. I'd go with Class D amps. I'd own no vinyl or cd's....streaming only.I'd keep my tube preamp.I'd spend more money on a DAC.I'd own a 10 inch reel-to-reel just for show......
Most recordings you own by a single artist, group, or composer Lee Morgan is my most collected artist. I have everything that he recorded as a leader that is available.I am also well into collecting everything he ever recorded as a sideman.

My list of seller red flags I hate it when the seller posts a stock photo of the item...and no photo of the actual item. That is just ridiculous.
When Did Your System Disappear? It happened when I added an Audio Research LS10 preamp to my system. The result was an immediate effect of shock and awe. It has only gotten better over the years as I've moved up the chain of Audio Research preamps.
Is it all worth it? $10k spent on a digital front end will yield better sound than $10k spent on an analog bundle that includes a phono preamp, turntable, arm & cartridge. You'll also have more time to listen to more music ....than spending time to find the lp, re...
Do any still use an older high end tuner from the past?.... I have a Sansui TU-X1.I’m a jazz fanatic. There’s only one jazz station in LA.I've always considered my tuner as a tool to find new jazz music.Consequently it doesn’t get much use due to bounty of jazz stations all over the world via streaming...al...
