How is Quality and Customer Service defined in the 21st Century?
Quality and customer service are two different things. Customer service is what it always was - responsiveness and the golden rule (i.e., treating your customers as you would want to be treated yourself).  Some of the companies I have worked with...
Budget preamp recommendation...besides Schiit.
Khozmo passives or Hattor passive/active, both made with high quality attenuators and parts plus huge selection of options between the two "sister" companies (i.e., same owner/manufacturer - Hattor is to Khozmo what Lincoln is to Ford).
Moving Soon - Should I Pack Up Everything Now??
I agree with @bigtwin.  If you are going to be living there for a while, then leave the system set up so you can listen.  Mostly potential buyers want to be able to visualize what they would do with the various rooms in a house.  Your system does ...
What is the science behind audiophile fuses?
"And even that is necked down just at one end." Maybe from the heat of the solder used to connect that end of the wire to the end cap?  The other end was probably connected prior to installing the heat shrink tubing.
Home network Fibre optic vs Ethernet
@oddiofyl @carlsbad2 make a good point, fibre is incredibly inexpensive so running both should not add much to your initial costs and things do change.  For example, if my router had a fibre output and my server had a fibre input, maybe fibre ...
Home network Fibre optic vs Ethernet
I have both Ethernet (CAT8) and fiber running from my router 45 feet to my system.  I have compared the sound from those two options multiple times and I have used a variety of filters as well as linear power supplies on all the FMCs and periphera...
Don’t buy used McCormack DNA 1990s amps
@paimei  If I could have anything in audio,  a new Mccormack would be at the top of that list.  If it existed. Yes it mostly does exist, as mentioned previously in this thread.  If a new McCormack amplifier is truly at the top of your list, th...
Another Fedex problem...
I too have had good luck with FedEx although I tend to use UPS.  However, I understand the frustration of those who have bad experiences.  I agree with @ghdprentice about contacting FedEx.  Also, I believe you can set up a free personal account th...
What is the science behind audiophile fuses?
@curiousjim Ok, here goes: How can a fuse have an audible influence on the signal, when the signal does not even pass through it? I don’t believe that a fuse does have an audible influence on an audio signal, for the reasons presented in my ...
What is the science behind audiophile fuses?
Doesn’t the power supply include capacitors that store electrical power used by the device, including the capability to supply power for peak demands?  Shouldn’t the power supply be designed so that the current draw through the fuse should never e...
What is the science behind audiophile fuses?
@noromance  Visiting Chuck Miller's Millercarbon room at PAF gave me the opportunity to check in on Townshend Audio, a quirky British manufacturer of audio gear best known for its well-engineered and very effective isolation products. Not enti...
What is the science behind audiophile fuses?
Is it too early to bring up double-blind testing?
What is the science behind audiophile fuses?

Duelund speaker cable gauge for my system?
@tecknik  Multiple solid core wires for speaker cables is what Harmonic Technology has been doing for years.  They used individually insulated, small gauge, OCC copper wires and the cables sound great IMO.
