Back to the DAC
There are 5 of them on USAM right now for under $4K each.
Great network streamers with only USB outputs
@bunkertoy - I am not familiar with the converters you listed.  I gave you three recommendations: Sonore ultraDigital, converter only, $499 Singxer SU-6, DDC and converter, $748 (from Kitsune Hi-Fi) HoloAudio Red, converter, DDC, and streamer...
Great network streamers with only USB outputs
I agree with @v-fi about USB converters such as this one from Sonore, and don’t forget about DDC choices like the one from Singxer I linked in my earlier post, or several offered by Denafrips, or even the Holo Audio Red, which is both a capable DD...
Back to the DAC
I owned the Tambaqui late last year and sold it after a month or so.  It sounded arguably “perfect”, but was not engaging enough to me.  I have heard of others selling the Weiss for similar reasons and Benchmark (which I still own), same thing. Ho...
Cable vs fiber for audio quality
If you are referring to the conduit your internet service provider uses, any differences would be based on speed (based on your service plan) and reliability, and not whether they use coax or fiber, although fiber can provide faster speeds overall...
Speakers, floor standing or Bookshelfs
More flexibility and (usually) better bass with (at least two high quality) subs. Stand mount main speakers can image better but the output capability must be sufficient for the size of the room you are trying to fill. Puny stand mounts with subs...
Great network streamers with only USB outputs
If your streamer only outputs USB you have the option to connect the USB to a DDC, which would allow various options for outputs to your DAC and which may also improve the signal going to the DAC.  Here is one of the many options.

I second @audphile1 and the suggestion to simply a change your duplex box to a quad box.  Use whatever fancy (or not) outlets you want.  Depending on your current draw needs, service box capacity, and access, you could even run two dedicated lines...
Mojo Audio - Mystique Y NC DAC
@ken6217 - I have owned all four (v3, B4B21, PRO, and X SE) and IMO, yes there is. The EVO B4B21 is the second to highest culmination of Mojo Audio DACs starting with the Mystique v3 and ending with the PRO. The X SE IME was more forward and trade...
Mojo Audio - Mystique Y NC DAC
Here ya go, in the words of the mfg: The X24 NC with Z chips is going to be the best of all worlds of our DACs with the AD1862 DAC chips IMO. Then again, the Y NC does things with the AD1865 DAC chips that none of our DACs with the AD1862 chips...
Mojo Audio - Mystique Y NC DAC
@mfisher702 - I started with Benjamin modifying my Mac mini years ago and have owned his Mystique v3, B4B21, EVO PRO, and X SE. I have kept my EVO PRO which has the (more highly sought after) Z-version of the AD1862 chips and sold the others. How...
Audio Racks, Just How beneficial? looking for guidance in upgrading
@tomic601 - On my gear, the SMc Gravity Base is simply a (nicely cut and powder-coated) slab of brass, attached to the bottom.   I believe one of the attributes apparently contributing to the improvement in performance is that the Gravity Base is ...

Audio Racks, Just How beneficial? looking for guidance in upgrading
Hey Roxy It is probably made of money - for what they charge! Cast iron and wood, with the shelves stood off from the iron by recessed elastomers. The Fleetwood Rack by Fleetwood Sound Co. that makes the Deville speaker, and a division of Oswald...
