Setting SRA on Rega? IMUO, SRA is over-hyped.
Manley Chinook Standard warranty was 90 days BUT if you registered the product it bounced it up to 5 yrs.
Manley Chinook I admit that Manley has done a stellar job with the service - but these two issues early on in the life of the unit has me perplexed. Sure, I am covered for five years but what else might I be looking at down the road. My confidence has waned a ...
Manley Chinook Got my Chinook back. Service tech said noisy Philips PCC88 tubes were part of the issue. The tubes were an upgrade for the SE version from Upscale. They will be replaced by quieter tubes. A PCB was replace along with 2 capacitors. Put unit ba...
McIntosh C1100 Preamp Your report does not surprise me at all. McIntosh is quality.
Mc C47 or Rotel 1590 Yes, my MAC6700 is a better unit than the Rotel combo I had - the music just seems to flow much easier. But we are talking $3500 vs $6500
For all you McIntosh fans Tubed pre and solid state amp are a match to behold - very musical, noit harsh at all.
VPI 3D tonearm adjustment I think I will go get another cup of coffee...
Aligning Cartridge Good job. With Regas azimuth adjustment is not possible but it is a critical part of getting the setup right. When I had my P9 Yip's MintLP was the best setup tool I had.
For all you McIntosh fans I have toured the factory when my wife and I went to NYC in 2011. My Randall gave us the tour and played Dire Staits on their system.
Mc C47 or Rotel 1590 No, the 1590 was never removed from the box. The pre I used with the 1582 was the RC1550, which I traded towards the RC1590.For the money allocated and price point, Rotel makes good products but not as good as McIntosh; you get what you pay for.
Drying time after a VPI record cleaner? place, not replace. Sorry
Drying time after a VPI record cleaner? I replace vinyl in sleeve directly after vacuuming with NG MiniPro2
A New Reel to Reel Tape Deck? Supposedly was going to be unveiled at Munich show this week.
Drying time after a VPI record cleaner? My NG MiniPro2 gets LPs dry on 2 revs - I am surprised the VPI is leaving fluid behind. Revolve too much and you introduce static charge. |
