Amir and Blind Testing
@bruce19, Not at all. I asked a simple question. Why did you think that was pejorative? What religious reference are you talking about? I have absolutely no idea how you came to this conclusion! Please explain, if possible, since this one really ...

"show us your data." I think he is measuring the wrong thing. Ask your guru to show how he measures a person's emotions. Some folks prefer precision while some prefer musicality. Now you would argue that you prefer precision over musicality - a...
Tekton Design - New IRL Technology - Lifelike, Real, Immersive
With IRL, the simulations are obsolete. When Tekton first posted advts for their loudspeakers, I remember, they said the same about other loudspeakers becoming obsolete - which did not happen. The only thing that happened is that those words/ad...
Tekton Design - New IRL Technology - Lifelike, Real, Immersive
@tektondesign , I think what @mahgister is trying to say is that it would mean additional speakers to match your main speakers with matching cables. That cost might be a bit too much for folks. And then you have to match the surround amp to be si...
Speaker positioning: why do audiophiles neglect this so much?
@bobbydd , Please show us how you have positioned the speakers in your system. Would love to see that.
TEAC UD-701 vs NT-505 vs ?
@bosssound , Thank you the update. I read it with great interest. Bummer that only 1 channel worked. But good to know that even with that you preferred the 701 compared to the 505. The Teac 701 is now high on my list, since it also has streaming...

There was a thread very similar to this a few years ago. It might show up if you search the headers (not body).
Tube Rolling Advice for the Backert Labs Rhumba Extreme?
@jsqt , Since you have such a nice inventory of the 12AU7s, I would like your thoughts IF you get a chance to listen to the Psvane's new ART series. They have bowled me over. The work "mesmerizing" comes to my mind.
I heard a costly system from Esoteric.
+1 @vitussl101 and @gavman
Speaker positioning: why do audiophiles neglect this so much?
@bobbydd , would love to see your system, just to see how you have optimized it. What speakers do you use and in what room size. I for one love to check out rooms and get ideas not oily for sound, but also for ambience. Hope you can share a pic o...
I heard a costly system from Esoteric.
@jackhifiguy , out of curiosity - what is the budget that you have set for your end-game system? If you give folks here some hint, they might be able to guide you better.
I heard a costly system from Esoteric.
@jackhifiguy, Not sure what your intention is - to build an end-game system for headphone OR loudspeakers? You own a dozen headphones and you chose a integrated amplifier. You should know better (by now, with your experience) that a dedicated hea...
Does carpet deaden the sound too much?
Use spikes for the speakers.  Make sure they rest on a hard surface. +1 on this @erik_squires  The spikes under the Isoacoustic Gaias made a big difference compared to the granite plinths I had under the speakers. The speaker feet now directly...
Linlai 12AU7 ????
Don't know about Linlai. But the Psvane ART series are fantastic. You should definetely give them a try IF you are not able to procure these Linlais.

My advice to his followers is simply to go out, listen, make up their own minds. Not sure if your advice makes sense to the ASR crowd. Because if the measurements are not good,  then the product is outright dismissed. They follow ASR mod's mind...
