OP,My room is slightly smaller than your's. But my positions are very close to what newbee has mentioned. Start there and also keep in mind about the toe-in. That also needs to be accounted for. Like everyone mentioned - it takes a few hours to da...

OP,Why are your screaming (CAPS) in all your posts?Or is that normal for you?
thanks to Audiogon
ebm,Does it mean that some honest person starting fresh will never take off, going forward? I don't have 20 positive feedbacks. But my buyers are happy (read my latest feedback). It is unfortunate that there are dishonest sellers who do not comple...
Proac D48R
Yes, I have read that review about ProAc 20R as the Baroque loudspeaker. But there was another audiogoner who was trying to sell his D30R because it seemed to lack the bass. Take a aook at erikminer's system. He has those speakers. The D48R seem t...
Proac D48R
Thank You for the clarification carmenc. And how would you describe the ProAc sound? In my room, with precise placement, my Quads's sound stage starts about 2-3 feet behind the speaker front face. And the sound stage is pretty wide, since I moved t...

Does this mean that ProAcs and Solid State amplifier don't go well together?

Speaker thoughts - ProAc D40R or Wilson Benesch
Toneaudio has reviewed the D48R very recently:http://www.tonepublications.com/MAGPDF/TA_076.pdf
Passive Preamps
Agreed that passives are not recommended foe every system. You have to carefully put together a system so that passives can fit in. But a good passive can out gun an expensive amp in a matching system. That is my experience.

xonex77,Did you experience one recently? Curious because you revived an old thread. TVCs ROCK!!
