Where to use 3M Adhesive Back EMI Absorber AB5100S? I've tried similar, great around transformers. But like I said, try a full sheet just laying on top. Then try laying inside. No need to cut anything, and impossible to short being as the backing is non-conductive.

Will I Hear A Difference? Early last year I was thinking maybe this will be the year I finally reward myself with a new 911. Within seconds I discover their allocations sold out for the rest of the model year. In March. I could go on and on with examples. If by now after 2...

I would think a phono stage would be good but why not try the rest? Then if you want to try transformers, cut a piece to fit around one. Leave the backing on, ...
Is DSP room correction worth it with a high end analog system? Everyone knows the more complicated the circuit the better it measures. The more manipulated the signal the better it measures. And the one sure way to make analog measure better is to digitize it. So by all means if you want to measure stuff the...
The easiest way to solder multi pin connector? De-solder braid is just fine. Clean like Dave said. Most important with boards like this is to use the right temp and right size solder tip and even then be especially careful not to overheat. Because your biggest risk on a PC board is overheat ...

Will I Hear A Difference? Yes you will hear massive improvement going from your $500 rig to $3k. Like night and day. But then even bigger improvement going from your budget phono stage to something much better. https://www.decware.com/newsite/ZP3.htm This front end will be...

HT Sound quality - best processors and/or combined with preamp? Unfortunately the term Home Theater has come to mean multi-channel. This is unfortunate because there is nothing about watching movies that requires lots of channels. The goals of high end audio and cinema should be the same: high fidelity. If mul... |
